acfin16.dll is not a normal Windows component. Available AutoCAD 2005 and 2006 file inventories associate the name with those legacy AutoCAD installations. When Windows reports that acfin16.dll is missing or was not found, the safest solution is to identify the program calling it and repair or reinstall that exact AutoCAD edition from legitimate media or an authorized support channel. Is acfin16.dll a Windows file or a virus?
Nothing in the available AutoCAD inventories identifies acfin16.dll as a standard Windows file. Its presence in a legacy AutoCAD folder is consistent with an application dependency. Reinstall from legitimate media
Use original Autodesk media, a valid installer retained by your organization, or an authorized Autodesk/CAD-support route. Match the product year, edition, language, and architecture as closely as the licensing record requires. Do not substitute a later or earlier AutoCAD release simply because its folder contains a file with a similar name. Microsoft documents incompatible dependencies as a cause of application failure, so a superficially matching filename is not enough.
If the installer asks for a serial number, product key, or activation, use the entitlement associated with that installation. Avoid repacked installers and “pre-activated” downloads; their provenance and included files cannot be established. After setup, apply only updates that are intended for that AutoCAD release, then restart and test before adding plug-ins.
Remove a broken installation only when necessary

Check permissions and security quarantine
Review your security product’s quarantine or protection history for the application folder. A legitimate DLL can be removed by a mistaken detection, but restoring a file should be done only after verifying the installer source and the file’s signature. If the file was quarantined, restore it through the security product and then repair the application so all related files are checked together. Do not disable protection permanently to make an old program run.
Create a clean test profile

When should I run DISM and System File Checker?
Run Windows component repairs when the DLL error is accompanied by failures in several unrelated programs, damaged Windows features, update errors, or other signs of system corruption.
