Visions of Mana has eight Elemental Vessels: Sylphid Boomerang (Wind), Luna Globe (Moon), Undine Flask (Water), Salamando Candle (Fire), Gnome Shovel (Earth), Dryad Sprig (Wood), Lumina Lantern (Light), and Shade Sight (Darkness). The main story gives you all eight; they are not a set of optional side-quest hunts.
All Elemental Vessels and where to get them
The list follows the story acquisition order described in Pro Game Guides’ guide, updated February 11, 2025. Acquisitions include story events, so use this as a spoiler-aware checklist.

What each Elemental Vessel unlocks
A vessel opens the corresponding branch on a character’s Elemental Plot and grants access to that element’s class. Square Enix describes the Elemental Plot as the system for learning moves and abilities: moves learned there remain available when a character changes class, while abilities are specific to their class. Maxing an elemental plot can also expand what the character’s starter class can equip and use. Square Enix’s system introduction explains the plot and battle mechanics.

Vessels also shape combat options, but their effects are element-specific rather than interchangeable. Gamer Guides says Elemental Breaks become available after unlocking the second plot tier and filling the Mana Gauge; see its Elemental Vessels mechanics guide for that combat explanation.
How to develop a character’s Elemental Plot
- Collect Elementite: Elementite crystals found around the world grant elemental points.
- Exchange Gold Clovers: Square Enix says each Gold Clover can be exchanged one-for-one for elemental points.
- Use special items: Special items can expand a character’s plot to higher-tier moves.
These points let you progress through the branches opened by your vessels; they are separate from acquiring the vessels themselves. The official Elemental Plot explanation covers plot progression and its relationship to classes.
