The reference below groups every command documented for current guides, identifies where a command is host-specific, and marks arguments that are not published consistently. Because command syntax can change between server builds, enter help on the server you actually run before using an unfamiliar argument.
For readers who need a hosted RimWorld Together server rather than only command syntax, Godlike.Host offers game-server hosting with its own game panel, backups and 24/7/365 support. How to use this command reference
These are server-console commands, not ordinary in-game chat shortcuts. Enter them in the console provided by your server software or host panel. Some installations accept a command with no argument; others require a player name, event name or other value. The available documentation does not publish one universal argument format for every command, so the safest procedure is to run help, read the syntax shown by your server, and then issue the command exactly as displayed.
RimWorld Together versions can expose different commands. The official wiki guidance identified for version 25.12.13.1 changes an important detail for operator management: use the player’s username from the join message, not the player’s UID, when running op or deop. If a command in the tables below is rejected, check the server’s own help output rather than assuming the command has the same arguments on another installation.

Granting and removing administrator rights
Operator changes affect who can use privileged server functions, so perform them from the server console rather than guessing an identifier copied from a different panel.
- Watch the join notification when the player connects and copy the username exactly as displayed, including capitalization and spaces if the console preserves them.
- Run
helpand inspect the syntax forop. - Run
opwith that join username. On version 25.12.13.1, the official guidance specifically says not to substitute the player’s UID. - Use
listordeeplistto confirm that you are targeting the intended connected account. These commands show different levels of player detail depending on the installation. - When the elevated access is no longer needed, repeat the process with
deop, again using the join username on version 25.12.13.1.
If the console reports that the target cannot be found, obtain a fresh name from the latest join line instead of reusing an old UID or a name copied from a community platform. If the command itself is unknown, the server may be on a build that does not expose that command; the local help output is authoritative for that instance.
Managing players: kick, ban and unban
kick for an immediate disconnect
Use kick when a player must leave the current session but you do not intend to impose a continuing ban. Confirm the exact target with list or deeplist first, then follow the argument format shown by help. A kick is a session action; it is not the same operation as adding a player to a ban list.

ban for access control
ban is the command for blocking a player from joining. Before issuing it, verify the account identity in the detailed player output and check that you are not acting on a similarly named player. The available documentation does not establish whether your build accepts a reason, duration or a particular identifier, so do not append extra values until the local help text confirms them.
unban to restore access
Use unban when a previously banned player should be allowed to connect again. If the command does not match the name you remember, consult the console’s ban-list output or help text; identifier storage is not specified consistently across guides.
Player lists, chat and announcements
Use list when you only need to know who is connected. The command is documented by Legion Hosting as a connected-player listing. Use deeplist when you need the more detailed player view documented by Shockbyte and BisectHosting. Because the exact fields are not stated, treat the output as an inspection aid rather than assuming it always includes a UID, IP address or platform account.

chat and broadcast are the two documented messaging commands. Use chat for a console-originated chat message and broadcast for an announcement intended for everyone. Run help first if your message contains spaces, punctuation or quotation marks; the documented material does not define the required quoting rules.
Events and event discovery
Find valid events first
Run eventlist to display the events exposed by your running server. This matters because the event set can vary with the installed version and mods, and the available documentation does not provide a fixed catalog.
Trigger an event
event is the standard event trigger. eventall is also documented as an event command, but its exact targeting behavior and argument order are not established. Treat both names as version-sensitive: copy the event identifier and syntax from the output of eventlist and help rather than improvising a name.
For a live community server, announce planned tests with broadcast before triggering an event. If the command fails, confirm that the event appears in eventlist and that the console account has operator permission.
Saves and backups
Force a save with forcesave
Use forcesave before maintenance, configuration changes or an orderly stop when you want an explicit save point. The command’s argument list is not stated, so issue it exactly as your help output describes and wait for the console’s completion message before proceeding.
Create backups
backup creates a server backup, while backupuser creates a player-associated backup. The documentation does not define the destination, retention, file naming or precise data scope for either command. Check the host’s backup panel or the console response after running the command so you know where the backup was written and what it contains.

For a high-risk operation such as a server reset, make a normal backup first, record the timestamp, and verify that the backup completed. Do not treat a command returning to the prompt as proof that a usable archive exists unless the console or host panel confirms it.
Stopping the server safely
Planned shutdown: quit
quit saves and shuts down the server. Use it for routine maintenance, mod changes or scheduled downtime. Tell connected players with broadcast, run forcesave if you want an explicit save immediately beforehand, and then issue quit. A host panel’s Stop button is also preferred for a normal stop.
Emergency closure: forcequit
forcequit closes without saving player data. Reserve it for a genuinely hung or unsafe process when a normal quit or the panel’s Stop action cannot complete. Any progress since the last successful save can be lost, so restart only after checking the server logs and confirming that the world loads correctly.
Whitelist operations
The whitelist has two documented subcommands: whitelist add and whitelist remove. Run help to see whether your build expects a username, UID or another identifier. Add a player before asking them to connect, and remove the same identifier when access should end. If an apparently correct name is rejected, compare it with the exact join username shown by the console; the operator guidance for version 25.12.13.1 demonstrates why display names and internal IDs should not be substituted casually.
Commands documented only by one host guide
BisectHosting’s command list includes resetplayer, resetserver, modlist and getip. Their presence in that guide does not establish that every RimWorld Together server exposes them.
resetplayer: potentially destructive player-data reset. Make a backup and confirm the exact scope before execution.resetserver: potentially destructive server reset. Do not run it as a substitute for a normal restart; verify what world, configuration and player data it affects.modlist: useful for checking which mods the server reports as loaded. The output fields are not stated.getip: retrieves a player IP address according to that guide. Limit use to legitimate moderation or security work and protect the resulting personal data.
If any of these commands is missing, that is not necessarily an error: it may simply reflect a different server build, panel integration or permission model.

Unsupported or outdated command claims
toggledifficulty should not be treated as part of the verified command set. The Fandom wiki entry carrying that name has an out-of-date notice, and no current confirmation establishes that the command works on your server. Do not use it in an automated restart or moderation script. Check the running server’s help output and current version documentation first.

“Unknown command”
Run help and compare the displayed list with the command you entered. Check spelling, capitalization rules and whether the command is supplied by a host panel rather than the game server. Host-specific commands may be absent on another installation.
“Player not found”
Refresh the identity with list or deeplist. For op and deop on version 25.12.13.1, use the username captured from the join message, not the UID. Avoid correcting the name by memory.
Permission denied
Confirm that the console session itself has administrator authority. If you are trying to grant authority to someone else, first verify the target and then retry the command from the server console rather than ordinary player chat.
Unexpected data loss
Use quit or the panel’s Stop button for normal shutdowns. Never use forcequit as a routine restart because it closes without saving player data. Before resetplayer or resetserver, create and verify a backup.

Event command rejected
Run eventlist and select an event exactly as listed. Then check help for whether your build expects event or eventall and what arguments follow the command.
