Among Us is an online social-deduction party game for groups of 4–15. Crewmates complete tasks while hidden Impostors sabotage the round and try to eliminate them; discussion and votes help players decide whom to trust. The original game supports crossplay among mobile, console and PC, so friends can play together across those device families.
How the Among Us online game works
Innersloth describes Among Us as “a party game of teamwork and betrayal.” In a match, Crewmates work through tasks and watch for suspicious behavior. Impostors try to disrupt the crew and eliminate players without being identified. When players discuss what happened, they can share observations and vote on who they suspect. The game’s central challenge is social deduction: completing objectives while deciding whom to trust. Innersloth lists online and local Wi-Fi lobbies for 4–15 players on its official Among Us page.

Where can you play Among Us?
Innersloth’s Help Center lists the original game for Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS and itch.io. It names Mac and Chromebooks as examples of devices that are not currently supported. Because the list and compatibility can change, check the current store listing for your exact device before buying or downloading.

Does Among Us support crossplay?
Yes. Innersloth says the original Among Us supports play across mobile, console and PC. That lets friends join the same game from different device families, subject to using the original game and coordinating the same lobby. The publisher’s crossplay help page confirms this support.
Among Us, Among Us VR and Among Us 3D are different games
Crossplay between mobile, console and PC applies to the original Among Us; it does not mean every game with Among Us in its name shares lobbies. Innersloth says Among Us VR is not compatible with the original game. Among Us 3D is also a separate product: its official page advertises PC and VR crossplay within that version and says it is not compatible with the original.

Before arranging a session, confirm that everyone owns or has installed the same version. Details are on the official crossplay page and the Among Us 3D page.
Is Among Us free to play?
Innersloth’s Help Center states that Among Us is free on Android and iOS and costs $4.99 USD on other platforms. That is the publisher’s stated price, not a guarantee of the current amount in every store or region; check your storefront for its live price. Some cosmetics and Cosmicubes cost Stars, but the publisher says cosmetics are optional and do not affect gameplay. See its current free-to-play answer for the publisher’s details.

How to choose a version and platform
- Start with your device. Choose among the platforms Innersloth lists, then confirm the current store listing supports your specific device.
- Match your friends’ version. The original supports crossplay across mobile, console and PC, but Among Us VR and Among Us 3D are separate products with their own compatibility boundaries.
- Check the live cost. The publisher’s stated price is in USD; storefront prices can vary by region or change over time. Also check whether your platform requires any separate subscription to play online, since the listed sources do not establish those requirements.
