What Analogue 3D is
Analogue 3D is an FPGA-based reimagining of the Nintendo 64. It plays original N64 cartridges and outputs video over HDMI at up to 4K. The system has four original-style controller ports, Bluetooth LE, dual-band Wi-Fi and Analogue’s 3D OS. Analogue says it designed the console around FPGA hardware rather than software emulation; that describes its approach, not an independent performance comparison. See the Analogue 3D product page.

What happened to the November 18 ship date?
November 18 was a 2025 shipment date, not a future launch. Tom’s Hardware reported on November 13, 2025 that customer shipments would begin five days later. Analogue had previously shifted its schedule several times: its announcement archive shows a March 2025 move to July, a July update targeting the following month, an August move to Q4, and an October 16 update saying the system remained on target for Q4. The archive later listed a December 8, 2025 restock announcement, with limited editions shipping in 24–48 hours. Compatibility: cartridges, controllers and accessories
Analogue’s user guide describes support for the 900+ game N64 cartridge library across regions, as well as Expansion Pak and Controller Pak peripherals. It also says virtually all original N64 controllers and controller accessories work with the console’s four ports. Analogue advertises full game compatibility, but that remains a manufacturer claim here: no independent audit of every cartridge, accessory, game, or performance characteristic is established.

The guide says up to four 8BitDo 64 controllers can sync directly. The controller is sold separately; Analogue’s store listing explicitly notes it is not included with the console. If you want wireless play, check the current listing and availability for the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller.
Price, availability and what comes in the box
As of October 7, 2026, Analogue’s black-model listing shows $269.99 and “Ships now.” Tom’s Hardware listed $249.99 in its November 2025 launch report; that is a historical price, not the current official listing. Check Analogue’s store listing for live price and shipping status.

The current store listing names the console, a pre-installed 16GB SD card, HDMI cable, USB cable, and a worldwide USB-C 30W power supply as box contents. Analogue’s user guide also lists an SD card and cartridge cleaner among the included items. The separately sold 8BitDo 64 controller is not part of the bundle. What to weigh before buying
Analogue 3D is aimed at players who want to use original N64 cartridges and accessories with HDMI output, rather than replace their library with downloads. Before choosing it over an original console or another modern option, consider whether you need the cartridge and peripheral support, whether you prefer wired original controllers or wireless play, and the total cost of the console plus any controller you still need. The available information does not establish an independent head-to-head performance ranking against other ways to play N64 games.
