For a strong early priority in the Anime Zero skill tree, upgrade damage if enemies are taking too long to defeat. Add critical chance once you can survive comfortably; choose defense instead when boss attacks or repeated losses are stopping progress. Movement speed is most useful when poor positioning, dodging, or grouping enemies is slowing you down.
These are situational priorities, not a universal build. Anime Zero is in active development, so check each node’s current description, cost, and unlock requirements in the game before spending.

How to choose your next skill-tree upgrade
Start with the problem you can observe in your current runs. A point is more valuable when it addresses the reason you are struggling than when it simply follows a fixed build order.

- You clear at a reasonable pace and survive comfortably: consider critical chance for more damage consistency.
- Bosses or repeated mistakes end your runs: invest in defense before chasing more offense.
- You struggle to dodge, reposition, or gather enemies: consider movement speed.
Before confirming an upgrade, compare its displayed effect and cost with the content you are playing. Ask whether it addresses your current bottleneck, whether it will help in those runs, and whether the benefit is worth spending your available resources now.

When each branch makes sense
Damage: a practical early priority
A community guide recommends damage first for players whose main problem is slow clears. If ordinary enemies take too long to finish, improving damage is a direct way to address that bottleneck. Reassess after a few runs rather than automatically putting every later point into the same branch.
Critical chance: after survival is under control
When you are clearing reliably and staying alive, critical chance is a reasonable next offensive focus. A fan guide lists critical-chance nodes and numerical caps, but those figures are not confirmed by the official game listing. Use the current in-game node descriptions as your authority rather than planning around unverified numbers.

Defense: when survival is the constraint
If boss damage or repeated losses are preventing progress, defense may be a better investment than another offensive upgrade. Improving damage has little practical value if a run ends before you can use it.
Movement speed: for positioning and room flow
Movement speed is a situational choice. It can help when you need more room to evade attacks, reposition, or group enemies, and may make room clears feel smoother. If movement is not causing problems, another branch may address your needs more directly.

Match spending to your current weapon and run
Community sources describe weapon-specific skill trees, but the official listing does not publish a complete tree specification. Check the tree shown for the weapon you currently use, and confirm that the node effect and displayed cost match your current game build. If you change weapons, review the available upgrades again instead of assuming the same investment applies.
A separate progression guide advises equipping a usable weapon, learning its controls, and completing a Story run before making scarce-resource commitments. Use that as a practical way to learn what is holding you back; do not assume that every weapon or mode follows identical upgrade rules.

Check costs and claims in the live game
Anime Zero’s official Roblox listing describes it as a dungeon-crawler RPG with multiple game modes and warns that the game is in active development, with possible bugs, performance issues, or incomplete features. The listing does not provide an official skill-tree table. Community guides can help you form a plan, but their costs, effects, unlock conditions, and numerical caps may not match the current build.

One fan guide reports critical-chance nodes of 3%, 6%, 10%, and 15%, plus caps of 60% critical chance, 275% critical damage, and 40% cooldown reduction. These are that guide’s unverified claims, not official confirmed values. Check the live menu before relying on them.
Exact token sources, node costs, level gates, respec behavior, and whether every weapon uses identical tree rules are not established by the official information cited here. If a node’s requirements or effect are unclear, avoid spending on an assumption and use the description currently displayed in-game.
