Quest requirements and reward
Shani gives you A Lay of the Land after A Reveal in Ruins. The quest takes place on Spaceport, and its listed objectives are marked “IN ONE ROUND,” so complete both site objectives before extracting. Shani’s acceptance dialogue points you toward the first stop: “The foreman worked at the Jiangsu Warehouse, in the northwest of the Spaceport. See what you can find about a shipment of LiDAR scanners.”

Jiangsu Warehouse is in the northwest of Spaceport. Approach its westernmost entrance, climb the stairs on the right, then turn right at the top. Search the desk in the foreman’s office for the shipping notes. PC Gamer’s walkthrough and Game8’s walkthrough both describe the notes’ location.

2. Collect a LiDAR Scanner from Control Tower A6
From the warehouse, head toward the center of Spaceport and look for Control Tower A6 beside the main launch tower. A6 is the shorter, square tower, not the tall launch structure. Go upstairs to the upper floor; the walkthroughs specify that the scanner is on the second floor, not the top floor. From the stairs, turn right twice and check behind the short metal barrier for a small container holding the LiDAR Scanner. No key is needed to access it, according to PC Gamer. 3. Extract and hand the scanner to Shani
Once you have completed both location objectives and picked up the scanner, extract alive. At base, deliver one LiDAR Scanner to Shani to complete the quest. If you extract after completing only one of the two site objectives, the walkthroughs say you must return in another deployment to finish the missing objective; the listed quest requirements place both locations in one round.
