If crashes continue, use the general PS5 troubleshooting steps below; the patch fixes a named issue, not necessarily every cause of a crash.
What the PS5 crash fix covers
In its September 22, 2026 Store Update 1.47.0 notes, Embark wrote: “Addressed a frequent crash on PS5 related to the physics engine.” The notes say players need to download the update before loading back into the game. They do not quantify how many players were affected or say that every PS5 crash has the same cause.

Embark’s next listed update, Store Update 1.48.0, was last updated September 30, 2026. It announced cosmetic variants and said Frozen Trail was planned for October 8; it did not list another PS5 crash fix. Check the official ARC Raiders news and update notes for any patch released after that date.
Work through these steps if ARC Raiders still crashes
- Update ARC Raiders. On the PS5 home screen, highlight the game, press the Options button, then choose Check for Update. Install any available patch before launching. Update 1.47.0 is the specific fix Embark named; newer updates may also be available.
- Restart the PS5. Restart from the console’s power menu, then open the game again. Sony includes a restart in its PS5 game-start troubleshooting for error CE-109573-5.
- Update PS5 system software. Go to Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings, then install an update if one is offered. Sony recommends checking system software as part of game-start troubleshooting.
- Reinstall the game if it will not start or keeps failing. Delete ARC Raiders from the PS5 and download it again from your Game Library. This is a general PlayStation troubleshooting measure, not a confirmed ARC Raiders-specific cure.
- Rebuild the database if the problem persists. Follow Sony’s PS5 Safe Mode instructions and select Clear Cache and Rebuild Database, then choose Rebuild Database. Sony includes this among steps for CE-109573-5; it is not a guaranteed fix for every crash.
Check whether it is a crash or a connection drop
If ARC Raiders closes or freezes, troubleshoot the game and console. If the game remains open but you are disconnected, that is a network problem rather than the application crashing. Embark’s connection troubleshooting suggests restarting the console and modem/router, checking for software updates and NAT issues, and trying a wired connection when network stability is a concern. Ethernet may help a weak or unstable connection; it is not a fix for the game closing.

When to contact Embark or PlayStation
- Only ARC Raiders is affected: contact Embark through its ARC Raiders support page to report a possible game issue. Include what you were doing when it crashed and the steps that reproduce it; add a screenshot or video if available.
- Multiple PS5 games are affected: use PlayStation Support for console troubleshooting or repair guidance.
A remaining crash does not establish that your console has a hardware fault or that it is still caused by the physics issue fixed in 1.47.0. The official patch notes do not identify the cause of individual post-update crashes.
