ARC Raiders field crafting is unlocked through the Survival skill tree, not by finding blueprints. Buy Agile Croucher, then Revitalizing Squat, then spend one skill point on In-round Crafting. During a raid, open Inventory → Crafting to make eligible survival items from materials in your current inventory. Unlock Traveling Tinkerer later for traps, a Noisemaker, Herbal Bandage, and the Raider Hatch Key.
How to unlock field crafting in ARC Raiders
Field crafting means making items while you are Topside during a raid. It is separate from Workshop crafting in Speranza. The current Survival skill data lists two field-crafting tiers.

Tier 1: In-round Crafting
Follow this prerequisite route in the Raider skill tree:
- Agile Croucher
- Revitalizing Squat
- In-round Crafting
In-round Crafting costs one skill point and unlocks the first group of field recipes. The two prerequisite skills only need to be unlocked far enough to reach the node; they do not need to be fully upgraded. See the current Survival skill tree.

Tier 2: Traveling Tinkerer
Traveling Tinkerer costs one skill point and adds the second field-crafting tier. It requires either Suffer In Silence or Good As New, with both routes requiring 15 Survival points:
- In-round Crafting → Good As New → Traveling Tinkerer
- Silent Scavenger → Suffer In Silence → Traveling Tinkerer
Traveling Tinkerer also unlocks grenade-trap crafting in the Workshop Hideout, in addition to its Topside recipes.
How to use field crafting during a raid
- Open your Inventory during a raid.
- Select the Crafting tab.
- Choose an available recipe.
- Check the required materials and use the on-screen action prompt to craft it.
Embark’s field-crafting help page confirms the Inventory → Crafting path. On PC, inventory is normally opened with Esc, but key bindings can be changed, so the prompt shown in your game takes priority. There is no console or text command for field crafting.

Every current field-craftable item
The following list reflects the current Survival skill data. In-round Crafting provides the basic recipes; Traveling Tinkerer adds the second group.
In-round Crafting recipes

These items are listed under In-round Crafting in the current Survival skill data. The exact Shaker ingredients should be read from the live recipe tooltip rather than inferred from an unverified list.

Important limits and troubleshooting
The Crafting tab is missing
Check that In-round Crafting has actually been purchased. Traveling Tinkerer is not the basic field-crafting unlock, and the Crafting tab may not appear before the first node is active.
An unlocked recipe is unavailable
Field crafting uses materials in your current raid inventory. Materials sitting in your stash do not satisfy the recipe. Bring the required ingredients Topside, then check the Crafting tab again. The menu filters recipes according to what your Raider currently carries.

Update 1.22.0 did not add stash access during raids
Update 1.22.0, released March 31, 2026, added same-window actions to recycle, refine, or purchase missing materials in the crafting interface. That convenience does not allow a field recipe to pull ingredients directly from your stash during a raid. Read the official Update 1.22.0 notes.
Field crafting is not field recycling
To recycle an item during a raid on PC, right-click it and select Recycle. On other platforms, open the item details and choose the same option. Recycling is a separate action from the Crafting tab.

Field crafting versus Workshop crafting
Carrying materials does not let you make weapons, armor, weapon mods, ammunition, or ordinary Workshop recipes in the field. The documented field list consists of survival items, food and drink, grenades, traps, utilities, and the Raider Hatch Key.
Blueprints govern Workshop recipes, while field recipes are controlled by Survival skills and the materials you carry. A missing field recipe usually does not mean you have failed to find a blueprint.
Field and Workshop availability also differ by item. Flame Spray is documented as craftable in-round rather than at the Workshop. Fruit Mix and Agave Juice are likewise reported as field-only recipes in current references, so do not assume that every field item has a Speranza recipe.

What Traveling Tinkerer is especially useful for
The Raider Hatch Key is the clearest practical advantage. Its normal Utility Station recipe uses 1× Advanced Electrical Components and 3× Sensors. With Traveling Tinkerer, you can create that key from your raid inventory without relying on the station being available or upgraded in Speranza. See the Raider Hatch Key item data.
Traveling Tinkerer also converts spare grenades and wires into deployable traps, while adding Noisemaker and Herbal Bandage to your field options. It does not replace In-round Crafting: the two nodes provide different recipe tiers.
Current version note
The latest live update covered by this guide is 1.39.0, released July 28, 2026. The most recent field-crafting-specific change located in the available patch history is Flashpoint/Update 1.22.0 from March 31, 2026. Update 1.39.0 does not document a change to the field-crafting skill paths or recipe list. Check the official 1.39.0 notes if a later game update changes the system.
