ARC Raiders does not force a global wipe on every player. Its reset system is the optional Expedition Project: once a Raider reaches level 20, the player can prepare and sign up for an Expedition. The Raider resets only after departing, while players who do not sign up keep their progression.
Expeditions run on an approximately eight-week cycle. The exact calendar dates can change, so use the in-game Expedition Window rather than relying on conflicting third-party schedules.

How the ARC Raiders reset works
Embark describes Expeditions as a voluntary reset mechanic, not a mandatory seasonal wipe. You choose whether a Raider departs.
- Do not sign up: your Raider keeps progressing normally.
- Sign up and depart: the selected Raider resets when the Expedition Window closes, and a new Raider is created with Expedition rewards and carry-over benefits.
The reset does not happen when you unlock or start the project. Starting it begins the caravan’s preparation and donation stages. Departure is the point at which the reset takes effect.

When can you start an Expedition?
Your current Raider must reach level 20. The project then appears at:
Main Menu → Raider → Projects → Expedition Project
Embark describes the system as an approximately eight-week repeating cycle: a preparation period followed by an Expedition Window for finalization and sign-up. Players who are not ready by one window retain their project progress for the next one.

Starting the project is not the same as signing up
The Expedition Project has three important stages:
- Unlock: reach level 20 on the current Raider.
- Prepare: build the caravan by completing stages and donating the requested materials.
- Commit: during the Expedition Window, select “Sign Up”.
Completing the caravan alone does not commit your Raider. You must use “Sign Up” during the window. Donations are irreversible, so do not contribute items unless you are comfortable committing them to the project.
What resets when your Raider departs?
The most recently published Expedition reference reports these progression resets:
Rank #2
- Powered by Radeon RX 9070 XT
- WINDFORCE Cooling System
- Hawk Fan
- Server-grade Thermal Conductive Gel
- RGB Lighting
| Reset at departure | Carry over |
|---|---|
| Stash Upgrade Progress | Unlocked Maps |
| Inventory Items | Codex Entries |
| Player Level | Raider Tokens |
| Skill Points | Cred and Merits |
| Raider Den progress | Raider Decks Progress |
| Workshop progress and upgrades | Active Leaderboards and Trials |
| Quests | Cosmetics, Personal Event Progress |
| Expedition-earned Skill Points and Stash Slots |
The Workshop result needs a precise distinction: references describe losing Workshop progress, upgrades, or crafting capabilities while retaining unlocked workshop stations. It is not accurate to summarize this as the entire Workshop simply being deleted.

Blueprints and Coins need an in-game check
Published references conflict on whether Blueprints and Coins reset. One current checklist says Blueprints are kept, while other detailed references say Blueprints and Coins are lost. Embark has also said it will continue iterating on what resets and carries over.
For those two categories, treat the live departure confirmation screen as authoritative. Do not spend or retain valuable items based solely on an older guide.
What do you get for completing an Expedition?
Expeditions provide permanent rewards and temporary bonuses.
Permanent rewards
- Expedition cosmetics.
- An Expedition indicator or badge.
- 12 additional stash spaces per completed Expedition.
- Up to 5 bonus Skill Points per Expedition from the current damage challenge.
Consecutive-Expedition bonuses
Consecutive successful Expeditions improve three temporary bonuses. The figures below are the total tier values, not extra amounts added on top of one another:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems| Consecutive tier | XP | Scrappy materials | Repair value |
|---|---|---|---|
| First | 5% | 6% | 60% |
| Second | 10% | 12% | 70% |
| Third | 15% | 18% | 80% |
Missing an Expedition Window resets this consecutive-bonus streak. It does not erase caravan-construction progress; unfinished preparation can continue into the next window.

The current Skill Point challenge
The current main challenge awards bonus Skill Points for damage dealt to valid targets. Practice Range damage does not count.
| Damage dealt | Bonus Skill Points |
|---|---|
| 5,000 | 1 |
| 10,000 | 2 |
| 30,000 | 3 |
| 50,000 | 4 |
| 100,000 | 5 |
This challenge is optional. It affects bonus Skill Points, not whether you are eligible to depart. The current challenge is damage-based; older guides that describe stash value as the main requirement are outdated. Stash-value or coin-value calculations are used for catch-up Skill Points from previous missed Expeditions, and the current damage challenge must be completed first for that catch-up system.
What happens if you miss the Expedition Window?
If you are not ready, or do not sign up, your caravan progress remains available for the next window. However, your consecutive-Expedition bonus streak is lost.
If the caravan was already complete but you missed the sign-up step, Embark provides a “Last Call” prompt the next time you log in. Last Call allows late sign-up without completing the damage requirement, but it does not award Skill Points from that missed challenge.
Common ARC Raiders wipe misconceptions
- “Everyone gets wiped every season.”
- No. Expeditions are opt-in. Players who do not sign up keep their progression.
- “Completing the caravan automatically signs me up.”
- No. You must select “Sign Up” during the Expedition Window.
- “Starting the Expedition Project wipes my Raider.”
- No. Starting the project begins preparation. The reset occurs when the signed-up Raider departs.
- “Missing the window destroys all my Expedition progress.”
- No. Caravan progress carries forward, although the consecutive bonus streak resets.
- “The reset uses a console command.”
- No command syntax is involved. Expeditions are managed through the game’s Raider and Projects menus.
Should you sign up?
Sign up when you are willing to trade your current Raider’s resettable progression for permanent Expedition rewards, extra stash capacity, and the possibility of consecutive-run bonuses. Before committing, finish any quests or progression you want to keep, review the departure screen carefully, and confirm the treatment of Blueprints and Coins in your live game version.
If you are not ready, skip the window. You will keep your Raider and caravan progress, but you will lose the current consecutive-bonus streak.
