Nerd’s Chalk’s February 2, 2026 walkthrough reports the pool holds 600 units; the puzzle becomes accessible once the water is low enough for the game to expose and allow interaction with the floor.
How to drain the square storage
The pool is a finite reservoir, not a permanent water source. Nerd’s Chalk reports that it contains 600 units of Pure Water; permanent sources are marked with an infinity symbol. You need a destination for the extracted water, so connect a pump to a Fluid Tank rather than leaving the output without storage.
- Place a Fluid Pump (Extractor). Set it at the edge of the square pool.
- Power the setup. Place a pylon and run a power line to the pump.
- Connect a Fluid Tank. Run a pipe from the pump to the tank so the extracted water has somewhere to go.
- Check the water level with your scanner. Watch the Pure Water count fall, and add pumps if you want to speed up extraction. Connect additional pumps to available tank capacity.
Nerd’s Chalk estimates one pump extracts about one unit per second and takes roughly ten minutes to drain the reported 600-unit pool. Those are the guide’s approximate figures, not independently verified timings; use the scanner and the puzzle’s availability in-game rather than relying on a countdown.
How to solve the floor puzzle
When the water has fallen enough for the floor puzzle to be exposed and interactable, use the small terminal beside the pool. The terminal shows the required tile order. Follow that order, jumping and using a plunging attack on each tile.

- Interact with the terminal next to the pool.
- Watch the tiles illuminate and note their order.
- Jump to each tile and perform a plunging attack in the order shown.
The guide’s tile pattern is shown in an image rather than transcribed in its searchable text, so the sequence must be read from the in-game terminal; no specific order should be assumed. On success, Nerd’s Chalk says a chest appears in the center of the depot.
What to do if the puzzle is unavailable
- The water is not going down: Check that the pump has power and that a pipe connects it to a Fluid Tank with capacity available.
- The scanner count is falling slowly: The guide says additional pumps can shorten the wait; make sure each pump is powered and connected to tank capacity.
- The terminal or tiles cannot be used yet: Keep extracting water until the game exposes the floor and permits interaction. Nerd’s Chalk’s overview mentions access at around 100 units remaining, while its walkthrough says to drain the pool to zero. Because those directions differ, follow the in-game interaction state rather than treating either count as a guaranteed threshold.
Reported chest rewards
Nerd’s Chalk lists the chest’s rewards as 60 Oroberyl, one Protoset, one Contingent Measure, and one Arms INSP Kit. Its guide does not state a game version or server region, and no official publisher or developer confirmation of the puzzle details or reward list was identified. The walkthrough and corroborating videos identify the location as Wuling, but applicability after game updates is not established.
