Each level added one Special Bot. Players had to finish the main game to access them; after rescuing a level’s Bot, they could replay it in Time Attack with online rankings.
When did the five levels release?
Team Asobi scheduled the free levels for weekly releases at 6:00 a.m. PT, 2:00 p.m. GMT, and 10:00 p.m. JST on these dates:

The schedule is historical: all five dates have passed. Team Asobi described the levels as more challenging than the preceding Winter Wonder update.
Are the levels free, and how do you unlock them?
The update was free of charge. It requires the base Astro Bot game for PS5, and players must complete the main game before they can access the new levels. The announcement does not describe a separate purchase for the update.

What do the Special Bots and Time Attack add?
Each of the five levels contains one new Special Bot to rescue, for five Bots in this update. Once a level’s Bot is rescued, that level can be replayed in Time Attack mode, which includes online rankings.
What did Team Asobi say about PS5 Pro?
Team Asobi said the game on PS5 Pro would have “a constant best resolution while still running at 60 frames per second.” The studio did not give a resolution figure or comparative measurements in the announcement, so this is its stated performance description rather than a quantified or independently measured result.

- September 24, 2024: Team Asobi announced five speedrun levels and ten Special Bots, including the Helldivers squad and Eve from Stellar Blade. This was a different release.
- February 13, 2025: The Vicious Void Galaxy update covered the five levels listed above, one Special Bot per level, and the weekly February–March rollout.
- June 4, 2025: Team Asobi announced another five Vicious Void Galaxy levels for July 10, 2025. That announcement also mentioned an updated Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller; the controller was not needed to play the February levels.
