Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land launched on March 21, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch 2 version followed on June 9, 2026. The game is a single-player JRPG about exploring a fallen empire, fighting in real time, and using alchemy to craft.
Which platforms can you play Atelier Yumia on?
The original release is available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Steam for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. KOEI TECMO announced those platforms for the March 21, 2025 launch. The publisher later announced a Nintendo Switch 2 release on June 9, 2026. KOEI TECMO America’s launch announcement and KOEI TECMO Europe’s Switch 2 announcement provide the release details.

For the Switch 2 edition, Nintendo’s US store page says players can access it by purchasing an upgrade pack. That is a US listing; check the store in your region for the edition available to you and its upgrade conditions. The official platform announcements do not establish how performance compares between systems, so they are not a basis for claims about resolution, frame rate, or loading times.
What kind of game is Atelier Yumia?
It is a single-player JRPG developed by Gust and published by KOEI TECMO. Yumia, an alchemist, travels with companions across Aladiss, a continent shaped by the fall of an empire. The story follows their investigation of the lost civilization and the memories tied to its destruction, in a society wary of alchemy. KOEI TECMO’s overview of travel across Aladiss outlines the setting, while Steam categorizes the game as a single-player JRPG with exploration and crafting.

- In real-time combat, you'll be tested on your ability to make split-second decisions. Utilise two types of attack ranges ("range") and switch between skills to fight strategically. Additionally, synthesised items can transform into shapes such as swords or spears, which can be used to attack. Since these items are reusable, don't hesitate to deploy them and drive away enemies that stand in your way.
Exploration, combat, and synthesis
The main activities combine exploring the land, fighting enemies in real time, and synthesizing items through alchemy. The publisher describes an updated synthesis system alongside the real-time combat. Its combat and synthesis overview gives more detail on those systems. KOEI TECMO announced standard physical and digital copies as well as collector editions. The Premium Box was described as including the game, an artbook, decorative keychains, a CD of extra tracks, and an official short story with a translation booklet. The Special Collection Box was described as including the Premium Box contents plus additional items such as a handkerchief, tapestry, more keychains and clear folders, stickers, a plush, and story materials. These are announced contents, not a guarantee that a particular box is in stock or sold in every region; check the local retailer’s live listing before buying.

The publisher also described an early-purchase costume and equipment bonus for qualifying physical or digital purchases made up to two weeks after the March 21, 2025 release. That was a launch-period promotion, not a current offer.
