AYANEO announced the Pocket VERT with preorder pricing from $269 in December 2025, but that was a historical launch offer—not a verified price available today. A later AYANEO-linked retailer listing displayed $451.95, with tax and duties excluded from its U.S. price. The VERT itself is a compact, vertical Android handheld built around a high-resolution 3.5-inch screen, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and a concealed touchpad.
What was the Pocket VERT pre-launch price?
AYANEO’s December 27, 2025 announcement said Pocket VERT preorders were open from $269 and invited customers to register for an early-bird price. The announcement followed AYANEO’s November 28 post saying the surprise preorder had opened on November 26. Those dates establish the launch offer, not a current deal. AYANEO’s December announcement and its prelaunch announcement are the source for the dates and pricing.

A later listing on AYANEO-linked retailer DROIX Global displayed $451.95 when accessed in 2026, roughly three weeks before October 4. Its U.S. price note excludes taxes and duties, which the customer is responsible for. The listing may have changed since then, so check the product page for current price and stock, and confirm the configuration, shipping, and final delivered cost for your region before ordering: DROIX Global’s Pocket VERT listing.

Is the $269 discount still available?
The available dated announcements do not establish that the early-bird offer remains open. Treat $269 as AYANEO’s announced starting preorder price in 2025, not as a current checkout price. The later retailer snapshot is not a like-for-like price comparison: the evidence does not establish that its configuration, region, tax treatment, shipping, or seller terms match the launch offer.

What are the AYANEO Pocket VERT’s key specifications?
AYANEO presents the VERT as a premium vertical Android gaming handheld, pairing a small, high-density display with a full-metal body and traditional handheld controls. The figures below are manufacturer specifications unless identified as retailer listing details; they are not independent test results.

AYANEO’s official pages describe the processor as Snapdragon 8+ and, in the prelaunch announcement, specify Gen 1. The retailer listing provides the memory, storage and software details; its marketing copy has inconsistent storage references, so verify the exact configuration with the seller before buying.
What makes the controls different?
The VERT combines conventional handheld inputs with AYANEO’s concealed MagicTouch dual-mode touchpad. The manufacturer says the touchpad supports varied mappings, potentially making it useful for games or Android interfaces that expect pointer or touch input. Whether those mappings suit a particular game depends on its controls; no independent compatibility testing is established here.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who is the Pocket VERT for?
Its vertical format and compact dimensions target players drawn to classic handheld ergonomics, while Android provides access to Android games as well as emulation software. The 1600 × 1440 panel is unusually high resolution for a 3.5-inch display; AYANEO pitches its pixel density as a way to present retro visuals crisply. That does not by itself establish how individual games scale or look, so shoppers should consider their specific library and preferred display settings.
The hidden touchpad may broaden the range of games and interface interactions the controls can handle, but it is not a substitute for a control layout that fits every game. Consider whether your games need analog sticks or other inputs, and look for independent compatibility reports for the titles you intend to play.

What is not established by the published specifications?
The available product pages do not provide independently measured battery runtime, benchmark performance, temperatures, fan noise, latency or game-by-game compatibility. The 6000mAh battery capacity and active cooling describe hardware, not how long the handheld lasts or how it performs in a particular workload. There is also no like-for-like test data here to show whether its price or performance is better than another handheld.
AYANEO names three finishes—Eternal Night Black, Lunar White and Lava Red. Availability can vary; confirm the color and configuration shown by the seller before checkout.
