Baldur’s Gate 3 romances are choice-driven relationships, not a single shared sequence of scenes. Larian’s official material explains how romance works and notes selected cinematic updates, but it does not provide a complete, current-build list of every romance scene or its exact triggers. This guide separates what Larian confirms from what cannot responsibly be called an exhaustive scene catalog.
What are all the romance scenes in Baldur’s Gate 3?
A definitive list of every romance scene, with exact choices that trigger each one, is not established by the official sources cited here. Larian describes romance as a system shaped by player decisions, with different paths to intimacy for different characters. So there is no universal sequence that every player sees.
Larian’s Community Update #22 says relationships can develop through “deliberation, choice, and consequences,” and that players are free to pursue a relationship, back out, or pursue someone else. Its romance rules also distinguish between player-controlled Origins and NPC Origins:
- A player-controlled Origin can romance an NPC Origin.
- An NPC Origin cannot romance another NPC Origin.
- Player-controlled Origins cannot romance other player-controlled Origins.
These are Larian’s stated rules for those character categories; they are not a complete list of romanceable characters, scenes, or other encounters.

Why romance scenes differ by character
Larian says no two relationships follow the same formula. In Community Update #21, the studio describes contrasting relationship arcs: Lae’zel may show strong sexual energy early while taking time to lower her guard, whereas another relationship might begin with a passionate encounter and later become vulnerable and sweet.
Those examples explain the design approach; they are not guarantees that every playthrough will include the same scenes or see them in the same order. Choices and a character’s personal arc shape how intimacy develops.

Where romance conversations happen
Camp is one place to speak with companions, including about romance, according to Larian’s Romance Basics support FAQ. The FAQ does not say that every romantic scene happens at camp or enumerate which conversations or cinematics appear there.
Romance cinematics can change between updates
Larian’s Patch 6 notes document unique, randomized partner kisses with variations and improvements to some endgame Elfsong Tavern cinematics. That is evidence that presentation can change with updates—not a complete inventory of romance scenes or proof of the full scene set in the current build. Patch 6 is historical documentation, not a claim about the newest update.

- Confirmed: Romance is choice-driven, differs between characters, and can develop along distinct paths.
- Confirmed: Camp supports companion conversations, including romance.
- Confirmed: Larian has changed some romance cinematics in an update.
- Not established here: A complete current-build scene-by-scene catalog, exact trigger choices, or a reliable scene count.
Because the official material does not establish those scene-level details, presenting a supposedly exhaustive list would overstate what is known from these sources.
