The latest official dates located do not support the claim that multiplayer is free during the week of October 8. Check official Battlefield announcements for any new trial dates.
What the Battlefield 6 free trial included
EA described the September trial as limited-time access to selected maps, modes, and events—not the full game. Its event guide named Wake Island, Tsuru Reef, Cairo Bazaar, and Hagental Base, along with Conquest, Escalation, and the Deep Six Event Playlist. The playlist included Contracts, Casual Breakthrough, and Verified Portal experiences, among other content. EA’s Season 4 event guide gives the dates and trial details.
How to play after the trial
Battlefield 6 remains available as a paid game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. EA lists PC storefronts as Steam, the EA App, and Epic Games Store, and says the game is sold digitally and at retail. Check your regional storefront for current availability, editions, and prices; an expired trial does not mean the game is free to buy or play. See EA’s purchase page and Battlefield 6 FAQ.
PC account and launcher requirements
- Steam: An EA account is required, but EA says the EA App is not.
- Epic Games Store: You need both an EA account and the EA App.
- EA App: An EA account is required.
EA says an internet connection is necessary to download critical updates and play. Its legal disclaimers specify persistent internet, an EA Account, acceptance of the EA User Agreement, and EA App installation for PC play. EA’s legal disclaimers also note that console online features require internet and may require EA and applicable platform accounts.
