EA’s published targets range from 1080p at 30 FPS on minimum hardware to 4K at 240 FPS or higher on its Ultra++ configuration, which pairs an RTX 5080 with DLSS Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation. The figures are EA specifications—not independently measured benchmark results—and EA notes that a compatible 4K display and supporting hardware are required.
What EA means by 4K and uncapped FPS
EA’s August 28, 2025 PC feature announcement describes the game as supporting “4K GRAPHICS + UNCAPPED FRAME RATE.” Its footnote says a compatible 4K display and supporting hardware are required, and that visual quality may vary. An uncapped frame-rate setting means the game is not being held to a selected in-game FPS limit; it does not promise that a PC will reach a specific frame rate.
EA’s specifications put that claim in context: the listed 4K targets range from 60 FPS at Ultra to 144 FPS at High or 240 FPS or higher at Ultra, with the latter targets requiring much more powerful hardware and, for Ultra++, DLSS options. EA’s feature announcement also names Intel XeSS and AMD FSR technologies for upscaling, frame generation, anti-aliasing and latency reduction. It says NVIDIA confirmed launch support for DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA and NVIDIA Reflex. EA does not provide a compatibility matrix establishing which options work with every GPU, so check the game’s available settings and your hardware.
EA’s PC performance tiers compared
The table reproduces EA’s published configurations. Resolution, frame rate and settings are targets, not results measured for this article. The component list is not exhaustive: EA says its specifications cannot cover every graphics-card and processor combination.

| EA tier | Resolution, target FPS and settings | Rendering | Example GPU and video memory | Example CPU, RAM and storage | OS and API |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | 1080p at 30 FPS, Low | Native upscaler | NVIDIA RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT or Intel Arc A380; 6 GB VRAM | Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600; 16 GB dual-channel RAM at 2133 MHz; estimated 55 GB HDD at launch | Windows 10; DirectX 12 |
| Recommended | 1440p at 60 FPS, High (Balanced), or 1080p at 80 FPS or higher, Low (Performance) | Native | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or Intel Arc B580; 8 GB VRAM | Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X; 16 GB dual-channel RAM at 3200 MHz; 90 GB SSD | Windows 11 64-bit; DirectX 12 |
| Ultra | 4K (2160p) at 60 FPS, Ultra, or 1440p at 144 FPS, Medium | Native | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX; 16 GB VRAM | Intel Core i9-12900 or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D; 32 GB dual-channel RAM at 4800 MHz; 90 GB SSD | Windows 11 64-bit; DirectX 12 |
| Ultra++ | 4K at 144 FPS, High, or 4K at 240 FPS or higher, Ultra | DLSS Super Resolution or DLSS Super Resolution Multi Frame Generation | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080; 16 GB VRAM | Intel Core Ultra 9 285K or AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D; 32 GB dual-channel RAM at 4800 MHz; 90 GB SSD | Windows 11 64-bit; DirectX 12 |
EA’s comparison makes the quality-versus-speed tradeoff explicit: its 144 FPS target at 1440p uses Medium settings, while its 4K 60 FPS target uses Ultra. Higher 4K frame-rate targets call for Ultra++ hardware and DLSS options. These specifications do not establish actual performance in particular maps, scenes or systems, nor do they provide a controlled comparison of image quality or latency. For an individual PC, treat the listed GPU and CPU as reference configurations rather than a guarantee.
How to tune graphics settings for more FPS
EA Help’s “Battlefield 6 PC graphic settings guide” says the right balance depends on the PC and recommends lowering several less noticeable settings to improve frame rate. Use the game’s graphics menu to try its suggestions, then check the result on your own system.

- AMD Radeon RX 550 Chipset, Silver plated PCB & all solid capacitors provide lower temperature, higher efficiency & stability
- 9CM unique fan provide low noise and huge airflow for your GPU
- GPU Boost Clock / Memory Speed : up to 1183 MHz / 4GB GDDR5 / 6000 MHz Memory, Stream Processors 512, Perfect for 3D CAD/CAM working, video and photo editing, Video Games @1080p
- Support: DirectX 12, Shader Model 5.0, OpenGL 4.6/4.5, 4K Video Decode
- Open the Settings cog, choose Graphics, then select Modify next to Graphics.
- For a first performance pass, set these options to Low: Undergrowth Quality, Effects Quality, Volumetric Quality, Lighting Quality, Local Light & Shadow Quality, Sun Shadow Quality and Post Process Quality.
- Test the game in the scenes you care about. If you still need more FPS, EA suggests trying everything on Low, then raising individual settings to find a workable balance.
- If you want to test Screen Space Reflections, try turning them off. EA reports that some players find enemies easier to spot in buildings or through water with this setting off; that is a player observation, not a universal visibility or competitive advantage.
Settings for visibility and camera comfort
EA suggests minimizing World Motion Blur, Weapon Motion Blur and Camera Shake Amount. Turning Chromatic Aberration, Vignette and Film Grain off can also keep the image clearer. These are options to test for your preferences, not a promised FPS improvement.
A higher field of view (FOV) shows more of the surroundings but makes distant enemies and objects appear smaller. EA suggests 110 as a starting FOV and Wide Weapon FOV as a starting point, and recommends testing changes in the Firing Range. Neither value is a universal optimum.

Display settings to check
In its display guidance, EA advises turning Vertical Sync off to avoid lag and matching Fullscreen Resolution and Refresh Rate to the PC’s settings. Display behavior depends on the monitor and system configuration, so treat these as EA’s recommendations to test rather than a guarantee that every setup will feel or perform better.

EA’s listed configurations specify Windows and DirectX versions, memory, storage and security capabilities alongside graphics hardware. Recommended and both Ultra tiers list a 90 GB SSD; the Minimum tier lists an estimated 55 GB HDD at launch. The SSD is a storage requirement in EA’s published configuration, not evidence of an FPS increase.

EA recommends checking Secure Boot in System Information and consulting your PC or motherboard maker for the correct enablement steps; the exact procedure varies by device.
What the official targets can—and cannot—tell you
EA’s specifications help you compare intended resolution, settings and hardware tiers, but they are not a substitute for a benchmark on your own PC. The actual frame rate depends on the hardware and settings in use, while EA’s feature announcement says visual quality may vary. Its August 2025 announcement also counts “600+ customization options”; that is EA’s figure, not an independent measurement.
