EA’s October 7, 2025 specification also calls for 16GB of video memory, an Intel Core i9-12900 or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB of dual-channel memory at 4800 MHz, Windows 11 64-bit, DirectX 12 and a 90GB SSD. EA specifies Native upscaling for this target.
EA’s 4K/60 Ultra target, at a glance
The figures below are EA’s published Ultra configuration, not a guarantee of identical performance on every PC, scene or game update. EA says hardware combinations vary and its specifications describe minimal viable builds for presets. EA’s October 7, 2025 PC specifications announcement is the source for this detailed Ultra target.

Is an RTX 4080 enough for Battlefield 6 at 4K 60 FPS?
It is one of the two GPUs EA names for its 4K/60 Ultra target, alongside the Radeon RX 7900 XTX. Treat that as EA’s recommended GPU class for the stated target, not a promise that a graphics card by itself ensures 60 FPS: the listed CPU, memory, storage, operating system and security requirements are also part of the configuration.
EA says its specifications are not comprehensive because performance depends on hardware combinations. It advises installing the latest drivers unless official Battlefield communications say otherwise, and recommends using GPU-manufacturer optimization software or in-game settings to tune a particular PC.

How the Ultra target differs from EA’s current Minimum and Recommended tiers
EA’s current Battlefield 6 PC system requirements page lists Minimum and Recommended configurations, but the page reviewed does not show an Ultra tier. Its Recommended target is 1440p/60 on High or 1080p/80+ on Low, while the October 2025 detailed announcement gives the 4K/60 Ultra configuration.
| Tier | GPU | CPU | Memory | OS | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT or Intel Arc A380 | Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 | 16GB | Windows 10 | 55GiB HDD |
| Recommended | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or Intel Arc B580 | Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X | 16GB | Windows 11 | 80GiB SSD |
| Ultra, 4K/60 | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX | Intel Core i9-12900 or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 32GB dual-channel at 4800 MHz | Windows 11 64-bit | 90GB SSD |
The Minimum and Recommended figures come from EA’s current requirements page; the Ultra figures come from EA’s dated October 7, 2025 announcement. The listed 80GiB Recommended storage and 90GB Ultra storage are for different tiers and use different units, so they should not be read as a single revised Ultra requirement.

Check Secure Boot and Windows security requirements before upgrading
Meeting the performance target is separate from meeting EA’s PC security requirements. EA says Battlefield 6 PC play requires TPM 2.0 enabled, User Secured Boot enabled, and HVCI and VBS capable. Its launch article says Secure Boot is required for EA’s Javelin Anti-cheat and links to EA Help for device-specific instructions.

Native 4K/60 is not the same as NVIDIA’s DLSS frame-rate figures
EA lists Native upscaling for its Ultra target. NVIDIA separately says Battlefield 6 supports DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA and NVIDIA Reflex. Those options are additional supported features; their performance claims are not the same as EA’s native 4K/60 target.

NVIDIA’s October 2025 figures say DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation combined with DLSS Super Resolution multiplies RTX 50 Series frame rates at 4K Ultra by an average of 3.8X. NVIDIA also reports over 470 FPS on an RTX 5090 and over 330 FPS on an RTX 5080 with that feature combination. These are NVIDIA’s vendor-published figures, not independent testing and not native-rendering results. See NVIDIA GeForce’s Battlefield 6 DLSS announcement for its stated feature combination and figures.
