Choose Battlefield 6 if its campaign and warfare are what you want
EA describes Battlefield 6 as including a single-player campaign alongside seasonal multiplayer content. If that combination is the one you want, check the price for your own platform before buying. EA’s PC listing showed $34.99 rather than $69.99 on October 8, 2026; that is a time-sensitive observation, not a guaranteed price for console editions, other regions, or a later date. Check EA’s current Battlefield 6 listing.
What seasonal content costs
EA says gameplay-impacting seasonal additions such as weapons, gadgets, and maps will be free or earnable. That policy does not mean every cosmetic or optional purchase is free. EA’s FAQ also describes EA Play Pro access, but the plan’s current price and eligibility are not established here; verify the terms for your account before relying on a subscription.
Choose Black Ops 7 if you want its mode mix or eligible Game Pass access
Activision advertises a cooperative campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies. Pick it if those are the modes you are looking for, or if you already have a qualifying subscription and its current catalog includes the game. The launch announcement specified Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch; subscription catalogs and terms can change, so confirm access on your own platform. See the official Black Ops 7 page.

Black Ops 7 supports PS4 and Xbox One as well as PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, according to Activision’s platform announcement. That makes compatibility a practical deciding factor if you play on an older console; check the store listing for the exact edition and platform before purchase.
Both games have received seasonal updates
EA announced Battlefield 6 Season 4 on July 17, 2026, including naval warfare content and a Top Gun collaboration. That is a record of what EA announced for that season, not a promise about future support. Read EA’s Season 4 announcement.

The official Call of Duty site showed Season 6 material and 2026 updates when checked on October 8, 2026. Check the current Black Ops 7 page. These dated updates show ongoing content activity, but they do not establish which game has healthier matchmaking, more players in your region, or better technical reliability.

- Pick the modes first. Compare EA’s campaign and seasonal multiplayer description with Activision’s cooperative campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies offering.
- Check compatibility. Battlefield 6 is listed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; Black Ops 7 is also listed for PS4 and Xbox One.
- Compare what you would actually pay. Look at your local digital store or retailer for the exact platform and edition. Treat the $34.99 Battlefield 6 PC listing observed October 8, 2026 as a potentially changing offer, not a universal price.
- Check subscriptions before buying. Confirm Black Ops 7’s current Game Pass availability and your plan’s terms, or verify EA Play Pro access for Battlefield 6 if that is the route you intend to use.
EA reported more than 7 million copies of Battlefield 6 sold in its first three days after launch. That is a publisher-reported historical sales figure, not a measure of current players or a verdict on quality. EA’s launch-sales report.
