What to know before entering Belurat
Belurat, Tower Settlement is a dungeon in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the expansion set in the Realm of Shadow. Its main route ends at the Divine Beast Dancing Lion. Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ash matter beyond ordinary loot: Bandai Namco describes Scadutree Blessings and Revered Spirit Ash Blessings as systems for strengthening your character in the Shadow Realm. How to reach the Dancing Lion
- Start at Main Gate Cross. Take the large staircase up to Belurat’s ornate entrance.
- Move through the opening rooms. Giant and smaller scorpions occupy the early area. You can fight them or slip past; if you avoid them, keep the rooms in mind and return when safe.
- Check the central statue. An early room holds Revered Spirit Ash at its central statue. Inspect it before moving on.
- Rest at Belurat, Tower Settlement Site of Grace. Continue through the settlement to reach this Site of Grace, then explore the paths ahead.
- Follow the route toward the boss. Belurat has stairs, side paths, and ambushes. Check branches for landmarks and loot, or prioritize the route forward if your aim is to reach the boss. The main route culminates in the Divine Beast Dancing Lion.

Where to find the Scadutree Fragment and Revered Spirit Ash
Belurat contains Miquella’s Cross landmarks, a Scadutree Fragment, and additional Revered Spirit Ash locations beyond the early statue. Treat the Crosses as useful exploration markers: check nearby rooms and branches rather than assuming the main stairs lead directly to every collectible. Collecting these items is relevant to character progression, not just completion. Bandai Namco says Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ash can be collected and used to strengthen a character in the expansion; the publisher’s page explains the system but does not provide a Belurat-specific item-by-item map.
Choose an exploration approach
- For a thorough clear: Deal with the scorpions, inspect rooms and side routes, and look for Cross landmarks before advancing toward the boss. This reduces the chance of leaving collectibles behind.
- For a faster boss attempt: Avoid enemies where practical and keep to the forward route. You can backtrack to branches later, though you may need to retrace your steps.
- For a combat-focused run: Clear threats as you encounter them so they do not interfere while you explore or retreat.
How to handle the Divine Beast Dancing Lion
The Dancing Lion is the boss at the end of Belurat’s main route. There is no universally reliable tactic for every build: learn the timing of its attacks and use openings that suit your weapon and range. If you fight at range, keeping distance and using a Spirit Ash summon to draw its attention can create opportunities to attack. This is a tactical option, not a guarantee; summons and ranged pressure depend on your build and how the encounter unfolds.

NPCs and possible boss assistance
The approaches near Three Path Cross and Main Gate Cross include NPCs; one is a merchant, and an NPC may assist in the upcoming boss fight. Their availability and summon conditions can depend on quest progress. If you want to use a potential NPC summon, check the nearby approach and the boss entrance for an available summon sign rather than assuming the helper is present on every visit.
