There is no universal “best” Range Finder sensitivity setting in Battlefield 6: the attachment works through weapon zeroing, and EA publishes no Range Finder-specific sensitivity value. For a practical setup, use a hold control you can reach while scoped, check your own keybind, and wait for the zeroing change to take effect before firing.

Hold the weapon-zeroing control to activate the Range Finder. Shacknews reports the default as B on PC and down on the controller D-pad. Your customized bindings may differ. The zeroing readout appears at the bottom right, according to the guide. Shacknews’ Range Finder guide

Wait briefly before firing. EA says in Update 1.2.1.0 that custom zeroing no longer applies instantly and now requires a short delay. EA does not state an exact duration.
Which control setting should you use?
Choose a deliberate hold binding that is comfortable to reach while scoped and unlikely to trigger another action by accident. That is practical advice, not an official preset recommendation: hand layout, controller scheme and other custom bindings vary.

To check or change the control, open the relevant input settings and inspect the weapon-zeroing binding. EA’s Battlefield 6 settings guide describes adjusting controls to preference and recommends testing settings in the Firing Range. Confirm the binding in your own game rather than assuming the reported defaults still apply.

Is the Range Finder worth its loadout points?
The attachment can reduce the need to estimate bullet drop manually or cycle through zeroing ranges, which may be useful on sniper rifles and DMRs. Shacknews’ August 10, 2025 guide reports that it costs 10 loadout points. Treat that as a tradeoff: if you know your usual engagement distances and are comfortable zeroing manually, those points may be more useful elsewhere. The sources do not establish one option as best for every player.

What about sensitivity and FOV?
EA’s settings guide does not provide a numeric sensitivity setting specific to the Range Finder. Adjust general controls to preference and test them in the Firing Range; do not treat a sensitivity number from another player as an official or universally optimal value.
FOV is a separate visibility setting, not a Range Finder control. A higher FOV shows more of your surroundings but makes distant enemies and objects appear smaller, so tune it for your overall view rather than expecting it to change the attachment’s zeroing behavior.
