For a clearer first round, start with EA’s recommended PC performance and visibility changes, match display settings to your monitor, and use the Firing Range to tune aim and controls before taking them into a match.
Which Battlefield 6 settings should you change first?
Battlefield 6 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. EA’s graphics and hardware recommendations below apply to PC; its controls and audio guidance can also help controller players and console players. Treat the listed values as starting points, not a universal competitive preset.
- On PC, decide whether you need smoother performance or higher visual quality. EA says the best balance depends on your PC and priorities. If you want to prioritize FPS, begin by lowering the six options listed below.
- Reduce visual distractions. Lower motion blur and camera shake, and turn off the listed image effects if you prefer a cleaner view.
- Check your display and input settings. Match resolution and refresh rate to your monitor, then test FOV, sensitivity, and deadzones in the Firing Range.
- Adjust audio to suit your needs. Start with EA’s suggested volume balance, then change it for comfort, accessibility, and preference.
How should you set PC graphics and visibility?
Prioritize FPS by lowering selected quality settings
EA recommends setting these options to Low when optimizing FPS. Lowering them can trade visual detail for performance; the guide does not promise a particular frame-rate gain, and the useful balance varies by PC.
- Undergrowth Quality
- Effects Quality
- Volumetric Quality
- Lighting Quality
- Local Light & Shadow Quality
- Sun Shadow Quality
Find these options under Settings > Graphics. If you prefer richer visuals and your system runs the game comfortably, you do not need to apply every low setting.

Reduce camera effects for a steadier view
For a less distracting view, EA suggests lowering World Motion Blur, Weapon Motion Blur, and Camera Shake Amount. It also suggests switching Chromatic Aberration, Vignette, and Film Grain off for a clearer image. These are visibility preferences, not guarantees of better aim.
Choose FOV with the distance tradeoff in mind
A wider field of view shows more of your surroundings, but distant enemies and objects appear smaller. EA’s suggested starting point is FOV 110 with Weapon FOV Wide; try both in the Firing Range and adjust if targets are too small or the wider view feels uncomfortable.

How do you match display settings to your PC?
EA recommends using fullscreen resolution and refresh rate settings that match your PC display. It also recommends turning Vertical Sync off to avoid lag. Those are official starting points rather than a guarantee that every monitor or synchronization setup will benefit equally; if you see a problem with your particular display, test the relevant setting rather than assuming one configuration suits all hardware.
PC options vary with supported hardware and player preference. EA’s August 28, 2025 PC feature announcement describes 21:9 ultrawide and 32:9 super-ultrawide support, HDR, and HUD scaling among more than 600 customization options. It also describes support for upscaling, frame generation, anti-aliasing, and latency-reduction features, including Intel XeSS, AMD FSR, and NVIDIA DLSS/Reflex features. Check which options are available on your system; the announcement does not make every feature applicable to every PC.

- Classic Experience Built for a Modern Era: With all core gameplay modes present, plus two brand new modes and enhanced visuals, Street Fighter 6 redefines the classic fighting game genre.
- Distinct Fighting Styles to Master: 18 diverse characters including legendary World Warriors and exciting brand new characters add their own flair to the game at launch, with more to be added post-launch.
- Brand New Game Modes: The Street Fighter franchise continues to hone its skills and redefine the fighting genre with the introduction of three new foundational modes – Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub.
- In-Game Commentating: Street Fighter’s first-ever Real-Time Commentary Feature, supported with subtitles in 13 languages, incorporates the voices of popular Fighting Game Community (FGC) commentators like Vicious and Aru directly into the game to narrate what is happening on-screen just like a real tournament.
- Two New Control Schemes: Classic Controls returns alongside two brand new options: Modern Controls allow you to perform special attacks with simple button combinations and are designed for players who want to fight without memorizing and practicing special move button combinations first. Dynamic Controls only require a press of the Auto-Attack button to perform attacks and is a great control type to use when you have friends and family over for a quick, casual game.
Upscaling and frame generation can be useful options to test when supported, but they are not mandatory settings. GameSpot’s launch-day PC settings guide cautioned that frame generation may add noticeable input lag; treat that as the outlet’s recommendation, not a measured result that applies to every configuration.
What mouse or controller settings should you start with?
Mouse and keyboard
EA’s PC guide lists these starting values:
| Setting | EA guide starting value | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Infantry Mouse Aim Sensitivity | 20 | Lower sensitivity can give more control; higher sensitivity can make it quicker to turn and aim. |
| Zoom Sensitivity Coefficient | 178 | Use it as a starting point and test how aiming feels while zoomed. |
| Vehicle Mouse Aim Sensitivity | 20–40 | EA gives a range, rather than one value, for this setting. |
These are guide-specific starting values, not objectively best settings for every player or mouse. EA’s guidance is direct: “The best way to find your ideal sensitivity is by testing different settings in the Firing Range.” Change one value at a time so you can tell what improves control.

Controller
EA provides controller presets and custom controls for soldier and vehicle categories. If you customize a binding or control, keep equivalent changes consistent across categories so the same action does not behave unexpectedly when you switch roles or vehicles.
A deadzone is the range of stick movement that the game does not register. If your controller has no or little stick drift, EA suggests trying deadzones between zero and five. If the view or movement drifts while the stick is untouched, raise the deadzone enough to address it; if small intentional movements are not registering, test a lower value. You can also adjust aim sensitivity, input curve, and bindings in the Firing Range.

How should you set game audio?
EA suggests lowering Music Volume and raising Sound Effects, Commander VO, and UI SFX volumes to make gameplay sounds easier to hear. Use that mix as a starting point, not a requirement: lower or rebalance levels if loud effects, voice, or other sounds are uncomfortable or interfere with accessibility needs. EA also documents voice-chat modes, menu narration, and system-level controls for haptic triggers.
What should you test in the Firing Range before a match?
- Set up the graphics or camera changes you want to try, then check whether the view is comfortable and legible.
- Adjust FOV and weapon FOV, paying attention to both peripheral awareness and the apparent size of distant targets.
- Test mouse sensitivity or controller aim sensitivity with small and large aiming movements. Change one setting at a time.
- On a controller, check that your chosen deadzone prevents unwanted drift without hiding movements you intend to make.
- Try your audio balance at a comfortable volume and confirm that the sounds you rely on are audible.
Make a small change, test it, and keep it only if it helps your control or comfort. A preset that suits another player—or another PC—does not establish what will work best for you.
