For TinyBlkDog’s Titanfall 2 VR plugin, start with its default 75% Resolution setting, then adjust it to balance image sharpness and stable performance. Tune turning and world scale to your own comfort and perception; the documentation does not establish one universally best setup. First confirm which of two different Titanfall 2 VR projects you have installed, because their settings are not interchangeable.
First, identify which Titanfall 2 VR mod you installed
“Titanfall 2 VR mod” can refer to two separate projects. TinyBlkDog’s project is an alpha Northstar client plugin for the single-player campaign. Its README describes a DLL and INI that hook the game’s DirectX 11 renderer and camera and use an OpenXR session; it says the mod does not modify game files or distribute game assets. The project says it was developed and tested with Meta Quest 3 and Play For Dream MR through Virtual Desktop’s VDXR runtime. Other headsets and runtimes are untested, not explicitly blocked. See the TinyBlkDog project documentation.

CircuitLord’s project is a separate full-conversion mod, installed through CircuitLord’s installer. Its README describes stereo rendering, full-body IK, manual reloads, Titan controls and a separate TF2VR profile. Do not apply TinyBlkDog’s settings or compatibility notes to it; consult CircuitLord’s project documentation for settings specific to that mod.
What resolution should I use?
If you are using TinyBlkDog’s plugin, begin at the documented default: 75%. The in-headset Resolution control ranges from 50% to 200%, and 100% represents the headset’s full panel resolution. The default is deliberately conservative: the mod does not measure your GPU and select a setting for it.

- Open the mod’s in-headset panel and find Resolution.
- If performance is stable but the image looks soft, raise the value. If performance is poor, lower it.
- Close the panel to apply the setting, then reassess the image and performance.
- Increase resolution until performance no longer holds steady, then step back one increment. This is the project creator’s iterative guidance, not a measured preset for every PC.
The plugin alternates which eye is drawn on each game frame, so each eye refreshes at half the headset’s frame rate, according to its README. That makes stable performance particularly relevant, but the documentation does not specify a universal resolution or frame-rate target for every headset and GPU pairing.
How do I make Titanfall 2 VR more comfortable?
Choose a turning style you already tolerate
TinyBlkDog’s controls guide lists snap and smooth turning, a turn response curve, and separate deadzones for turning and the right stick’s vertical axis. Start with the turning style you already find manageable in VR. If it needs adjustment, change the response curve or deadzones in small steps and evaluate each change; the guide offers controls, not a setting proven most comfortable for everyone.

Adjust world scale for how the game looks
The documented World scale control defaults to 1.00 and ranges from 0.50 to 2.00. The guide notes that the game may feel too large or its 3D may feel flat to some players. If hands and weapons look oversized, lowering world scale is the documented visual adjustment. It is a subjective perception setting, not a performance control.

Be aware of the head-locked cutscene issue
TinyBlkDog’s README warns that cutscenes are locked to the player’s head and may cause motion sickness. Its stated workaround is to keep your head still during cutscenes. This is a project-specific known issue, not a general VR comfort recommendation.

The controls guide also lists three crouch modes, haptics, an adjustable neck model, optional aiming steadiness and ADS view-rotation controls. These are available options to try according to your preference; the documentation does not prescribe a best configuration.
Should I change Titanfall 2’s regular PC graphics settings?
Base-game graphics settings are separate from the VR plugin’s Resolution control. NVIDIA’s Titanfall 2 PC graphics guide, published November 2, 2016, discusses flat-game performance and image quality—not VR benchmarks.

| Flat-game setting | What NVIDIA’s 2016 guide says | How to interpret it for VR |
|---|---|---|
| Ambient Occlusion | NVIDIA reported a 9 FPS cost in its tests. | Historical result from the guide’s tested PCs and flat-game conditions; it does not predict the VR performance impact on your system. |
| ADS Depth of Field | NVIDIA reported disabling it yielded a little over 1 FPS in most tested instances. | Historical flat-game result, not a VR-specific measurement. |
| Shadow, Effects and Model detail; Dynamic Spot Shadows; HBAO+ | The guide recommends reducing Shadow, Effects and Model detail, disabling Dynamic Spot Shadows, and considering disabling HBAO+ only after those changes when seeking more performance. | These are base-game suggestions from a 2016 PC guide, not validated VR settings. |
| Adaptive Resolution FPS Target | NVIDIA describes it as dynamically lowering rendering resolution when frame rate falls short of a target, at an image-quality cost. | Do not assume it is equivalent to the VR plugin’s Resolution slider or that it behaves safely in VR; the source covers the original PC game. |
What the documentation does—and does not—establish
TinyBlkDog’s controls guide lists 72 settings across eight categories, but that breadth is not a universal recommended profile. The useful approach is to distinguish image quality from comfort: use Resolution to respond to sharpness and performance, and tune turning, deadzones and world scale for your own perception. The available project documentation does not provide controlled comparisons across GPUs, headsets, runtimes or comfort outcomes.
