For the Valor Mortis demo, start with its quality preset, then adjust one setting at a time: try an upscaler’s Quality mode if performance is below your target, reduce demanding effects such as ray tracing if needed, and use frame generation only if the game already feels responsive. These are provisional starting points, not benchmark-tested optimal settings; the demo menu and its options may differ from the final game.
What are the best PC settings for Valor Mortis?
There is no verified universal best preset or resolution for Valor Mortis. The current suggestions are based on a third-party guide to the demo menu, not published performance tests. Start with the quality preset reported by that guide, then change one option at a time and judge both image quality and how responsive combat feels. Steam’s listing identifies the currently published PC requirements as demo specifications that may change before the full release.

Check the labels and availability in your own build before following any setting-specific advice. A third-party guide reports window mode, resolution and resolution scale, a frame-rate limit, V-Sync, ray tracing, and visual effects including motion blur, but those controls are not confirmed for every build.
How should you tune upscaling and resolution?
If performance is below your own target, first check which upscalers are actually offered in your menu. The demo guide reports NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, Intel XeSS, and Unreal TSR; availability depends on the build and hardware. Try the Quality mode of a supported upscaler first. If that does not provide enough performance, test a more performance-oriented mode and decide whether its image-quality trade-off is acceptable. No game-specific comparison establishes which mode looks or runs best.
#1 Best Overall
- Powered by NVIDIA DLSS 3, ultra-efficient Ada Lovelace architechture, and full ray tracing
- 4th Generation Tensor Cores: Up to 4x performance with DLSS 3
- 3rd Generation RT Cores: Up to 2x ray tracing performance
- Powered by GeForce RTX 4070
- Integrated with 12GB GDDR6X 192-bit memory interface
If you are adjusting resolution scale, change it separately from the upscaler mode so you can tell which change helped. Compare a representative combat scene, not just a quiet area: a clearer image may be more useful than a small smoothness improvement when reading enemy movements.
When should you use frame generation?
Consider frame generation only after the underlying game feels responsive. The third-party demo guide reports FSR 3 frame generation and NVIDIA frame-generation options, but availability depends on the build and selected graphics path. Generated frames can improve perceived smoothness; they do not reduce input latency, so they are not a substitute for a responsive base experience.

NVIDIA has announced planned DLSS 4 support at launch, including Multi Frame Generation on GeForce RTX 50 Series, Frame Generation on RTX 40 Series, DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA, and Ray Reconstruction for ray-traced reflections and lighting. NVIDIA’s announcement describes launch plans; it does not confirm that every option is present in the current demo menu.
Which demanding effects should you change?
Ray tracing
If performance takes priority, test ray tracing off before reducing several other settings at once. NVIDIA announced ray-traced reflections and lighting for launch, while the third-party guide reports a ray-tracing control in the demo. The available sources do not quantify its performance cost in Valor Mortis, so compare the result on your own system.

- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS

- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
Motion blur
Motion blur is a preference choice, not a proven performance fix. A third-party guide favors turning it off for a clearer view of enemy wind-ups; try both settings and keep the one that helps you read combat.
Frame pacing
Use the reported frame-rate limit and V-Sync controls only if they appear in your build. Adjust one at a time and assess whether motion feels consistent and responsive. No published test establishes a specific frame-rate limit or synchronization setting as best for this game.

Do your PC specifications match the current demo requirements?
Steam currently lists these as demo requirements, and says they may change for the final release. They are hardware targets, not promises of a particular resolution, preset, or frame rate. Both tiers specify Windows 11, DirectX 12, 16 GB RAM, 50 GB of storage, and an SSD.

|---|---|---|
| Minimum | AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-11700 | AMD Radeon RX 6700 or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super |
| Recommended | AMD Ryzen 7 7700 or Intel Core i7-13700 | AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE or Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 |
The recommended GPU tier is a reference point, not a requirement to buy a new card or a guarantee of particular settings. If your system meets the listed demo minimum but performance is not satisfactory, tune the options above before drawing conclusions from the hardware list.

What performance claims can you rely on?
The available sources provide no attributable Valor Mortis FPS benchmarks or measured comparisons between settings. Treat advice about presets, upscalers, and effects as starting points to test—not as confirmed gains or a promise of a target frame rate. The full release is planned for October 13, 2026; its final requirements and menu may differ from the demo.
