GamesRadar reported that Costco members could buy a bundle of four $25 PlayStation Store gift cards for $79.99, a 20% discount on the $100 face value. The offer was reported to run through October 11, 2026, or earlier if supplies ran out, and was limited to two bundles per member. Codes are delivered by email and redeemed through PlayStation Store. Sony’s Days of Play membership promotion has ended
Sony’s 2026 Days of Play promotion ran from May 27 through June 10. In participating countries, eligible new members could save up to 33% on a 12-month membership; the discount varied by region, tier, and eligibility. Some existing Essential or Extra members could save 33% on the remaining term when upgrading to Premium or Deluxe. These were time-limited terms, not an active October offer. Which PS Plus tier should you choose?
Choose based on features you will actually use, then compare the local price for the term you want. Sony describes benefits by tier, but its catalog changes over time and can differ by region and plan. Check Sony’s current plan details before subscribing.
Essential: core membership benefits
Essential covers monthly games, online multiplayer, and PlayStation Store discounts. It is the tier to compare first if you mainly want those core benefits and do not expect to use the larger Extra catalog or Premium features.

Extra: a downloadable game catalog
Extra adds the game catalog. It may be worthwhile if you expect to play enough titles from the rotating selection to justify the difference from Essential. Check the current catalog in your region rather than assuming a particular game will remain available.
Premium: classics, trials, and cloud streaming
Premium adds the Classics Catalog, game trials, and cloud streaming. Consider it when one or more of those features matters to your play; the higher tier is not automatically better value if you will not use them. Catalog availability varies.

How to find the right deal for your account
- Check the local subscription price. Sign in to PlayStation Store and compare the available tiers and durations for your region. Treat published annual comparisons as a guide, not a substitute for the price shown at checkout.
- Match the tier to your needs. Start with Essential’s core benefits, then pay more only if you expect to use Extra’s catalog or Premium’s additional features.
- Check offer eligibility and dates. Membership promotions may be limited by country, current tier, account status, or subscription term. Read the terms and confirm the offer appears for your account before relying on it.
- Keep Store credit separate from membership pricing. Compare any gift-card bundle’s price with its face value, then verify that it is available in your region and can be used for the purchase you intend. A discounted gift card is not the same as a discounted PS Plus subscription.
- Review renewal details before confirming. Check the renewal date and recurring price shown in the subscription flow. Sony’s offer terms state that the recurring fee is charged at the then-current PlayStation Store price until cancellation.
Automatic renewal: what to check
PlayStation Plus memberships renew automatically unless cancelled. Sony’s offer terms put it this way: “PS Plus is subject to a recurring subscription fee taken automatically (at the then current PS Store price) until cancellation.” Before subscribing, note the renewal date and price displayed for your account. If you do not want the next charge, cancel before renewal using the subscription controls for your account.
