This choice deserves extra thought on the 2024 ROG Ally X, whose factory display already has anti-glare and low-reflection characteristics and uses Gorilla Glass Victus according to ASUS’s specifications. If you already like the Ally X’s stock screen, clear glass may preserve its appearance better than adding another matte layer.
The JSAUX anti-glare listing also warns that its guide frame is not compatible with the 2025 ROG Xbox Ally models. Check whether you are buying the glass, the frame, or both before ordering. The observed collection price was approximately $14.99 on August 16, 2026.

6. dbrand: premium ecosystem alternative, if currently available

The Ally’s large display makes small left-right or top-bottom errors easy to notice. A tray reduces the chance of crooked placement, uneven edges, or wasting the first protector. It is particularly worthwhile for first-time installers.

Installation guide
Prepare the handheld
- Work in a low-dust room.
- Power off or charge the Ally, then remove its case and existing protector.
- Clean the display with the supplied alcohol wipe or a screen-safe solution.
- Dry it with a lint-free microfiber cloth and use dust-removal stickers immediately before placement.
- Test-fit the glass without exposing the adhesive.
Apply the protector
- Confirm the orientation and exact model compatibility.
- If supplied and confirmed compatible, place the alignment frame on the handheld.
- Remove the protective film without touching the adhesive.
- Lower the glass straight down instead of sliding it across the display.
- Let the adhesive spread from the center outward.
- Push trapped bubbles toward an edge with a microfiber-wrapped card.
- Check all four edges before reinstalling the case.
A correctly installed protector should sit evenly inside the visible display area, clear nearby buttons and bezels, and retain responsive touch input. Small adhesive-flow bubbles may disappear over time; dust particles generally will not.
Fixes for common installation problems
- One or two dust specks: Carefully lift the nearest edge with a clean card or included tab, remove the particle with a dust sticker, and reseat the glass.
- Large bubble without dust: Press it slowly toward the nearest edge.
- Edge lift: Check for dust, bad alignment, case pressure, or a protector that is too large.
- Cracked glass: Replace it rather than continuing to use exposed sharp edges.
- Touch problems: Remove the case temporarily, clean the screen, check alignment, and test again before assuming the handheld is defective.
- Frame does not fit: Do not force it. Use manual alignment only if the product explicitly permits it; otherwise return or exchange the protector.
Check case compatibility
A protector may fit the handheld but conflict with a tight case, screen-cover lid, or case lip pressing against the glass. Install the protector before final case fitting and inspect every edge. If the case lifts a corner, the problem may be case pressure rather than defective adhesive.
What “9H,” oleophobic, and anti-fingerprint mean
9H is a common product-marketing designation for surface-hardness testing. It does not mean the protector is drop-proof, scratch-proof, or immune to cracking.
Oleophobic means the surface is intended to repel oils more effectively. It does not make the glass fingerprint-free, and the coating can wear over time.
Likewise, “99.99% transparency,” “military-grade,” and similar wording should be treated as manufacturer claims unless an independent, repeatable test is available.
