Best two player iMessage games
GamePigeon is an iMessage collection that Digital Citizen describes as including games such as pool, darts, and chess. It suits casual play where each person can respond when convenient rather than joining a live match. Check the current App Store listing and device compatibility before relying on it.
One app with a broad game collection: Plato
Plato combines games with chat. Its official download page says it supports play between iOS and Android and offers “50+ games”; the US App Store listing describes it as free with in-app purchases. Those are Plato and Apple listing claims, not independent testing or a privacy audit. Plato’s site also makes privacy-related claims, but they should not be taken as a guarantee about every aspect of data handling.
