During the fight, sprint clear when Fuban burrows, use a long-reaching attack to punish its claws, and save your strongest burst for the later portion when the Yellow Wind Sage joins the encounter. Defeating Fuban awards the Wind Tamer Vessel, which can help in the Yellow Wind Sage fight.
Where to find Fuban
Fuban is in the Kingdom of Sahali, the Chapter 2 secret area reached by completing the Drunken Boar questline. It is an optional Yaoguai King encounter, so you can pursue it before continuing to the Yellow Wind Sage. How to handle Fuban’s attacks
Move when Fuban burrows
When Fuban burrows, use it as a cue to reposition: sprint away rather than staying close and waiting for the attack to resolve. The available guides recommend running clear, but do not establish a precise safe distance or timing. Black Myth Guide’s boss index also summarizes sprinting away from burrow attacks.
Reach the claws with longer attacks
Fuban’s claws can be difficult to reach with short-range attacks. The encounter guidance recommends thrusting stance for its reach, giving you an option to punish the claws without treating a particular stance setup as mandatory. Focus on reaching the claws when an opening presents itself rather than committing to a detailed build the available guides do not establish.

Save burst for the Yellow Wind Sage’s assistance
The Yellow Wind Sage joins the encounter during its later portion. Keep burst resources available for this stretch instead of spending them all early; the summarized encounter advice specifically recommends saving burst for the ally phase. The exact transition timing and patch-specific behavior are not established in the cited guides.
