Several Chinese attractions offered free or discounted admission to Black Myth: Wukong players in 2024, but the promotions had different eligibility rules and have ended. The sources reviewed do not establish a current offer. At Great Huaguo Mountain, for example, players had to show a Steam completion screenshot, game purchase record and ID; other reported offers accepted different proof or set different conditions.
Were the free-entry offers still available?
No current offer is established by the reports cited here. They describe promotions with 2024 end dates, not a standing benefit for completing or buying the game. Check the attraction’s official site or ticket office before travelling, including for current ticketing arrangements and accepted proof.

What did Great Huaguo Mountain require?
Great Huaguo Mountain in Lianyungang offered free entry from August 22 through December 31, 2024. The Lianyungang Municipal People’s Government page, credited to Lianyungang Daily and updated August 23, 2024, said the offer was for players who had completed the game. To exchange for a ticket, visitors had to present an ID card, an in-game completion screenshot from the Steam app, and a purchase record at windows 7, 8, or 9 in the scenic area’s tourist center. The stated proof was Steam-specific; the report does not establish that completion on another platform qualified. Lianyungang Municipal People’s Government.

What was Zhangjiajie’s offer?
Rednet reported on September 5, 2024, information from the Zhangjiajie tourism official account about a Zhangjiajie National Forest Park offer running September 5–December 31, 2024. The qualifying player had to show their own ID, a personal Steam app completion screenshot, and purchase proof. The report said the proof could not be substituted or transferred. It also described one accompanying family member under the promotion’s conditions, with both people subject to the specified insurance charge. Why did the rules differ?
“Beat the game” was not a uniform ticketing rule. The reported offers variously asked for full-game completion, a specific chapter achievement, or proof of purchase; some combined multiple kinds of evidence. Benefits ranged from free admission to a discount or a conditional ticket opportunity, and dates, exceptions, registration, and companion rules varied by destination. A screenshot or purchase record accepted at one site did not automatically qualify a player elsewhere.

No: buying the game today does not establish eligibility for promotions that ended in 2024. PlayStation’s US listing identifies Black Myth: Wukong as a Game Science action RPG for PS5, released August 20, 2024, rooted in Chinese mythology and based on Journey to the West. That product information is separate from the expired admission offers. PlayStation’s US game page.
