To earn more Salvage in Black Ops 6 Zombies, collect green Salvage pickups as you move, use Dead Drop just before sustained combat, and—on The Tomb—break Aether Crystals and destroy fungi in the Dark Aether. Dead Drop increases Salvage and Equipment drop rates for five minutes, making it most useful when you can keep fighting during its effect.
How to get more Salvage during a match
Collect green Salvage pickups
Salvage appears as green ground loot and is added to your total automatically when you collect it; you do not need to hold a separate interaction button. Keep an eye out while moving between fights and objectives. Activision describes Salvage and its uses in its Black Ops 6 Zombies overview.

Use Dead Drop before a stretch of fighting
Dead Drop is the clearest general way to improve Salvage drops: its effect lasts five minutes and greatly increases the drop rates for both Salvage and Equipment. Activate it before a big fight or a difficult Main Quest step, not after the enemies are gone, so combat takes place during the boosted window. Activision explains the GobbleGum in its GobbleGums guide.
Where to find extra Salvage on The Tomb
The Tomb has environmental Salvage sources in addition to ordinary drops. Break bright Aether Crystals you encounter while exploring, and destroy the green or purple fungi when you enter the Dark Aether. Activision’s The Tomb map guide identifies these objects as Salvage sources and describes the fungi as a fast way to obtain it.

What to spend Salvage on
Salvage and Essence are separate currencies. Salvage is collected from drops and spent at specific machines; Essence is earned by killing zombies and pays for other map purchases.

Is there a single fastest Salvage-farming map?
The available official guides document Dead Drop and The Tomb’s environmental sources, but do not provide Salvage-per-minute measurements or a measured ranking of maps and modes. So there is no supported universal fastest-map route to recommend. Current updates may also change gameplay mechanics after those guides were published.
