Can I play Blood & Canvas online with a friend on Steam?

The tagline used in the official Steam announcement is “Every exchange matters.” In context, that points toward the career’s cumulative consequences: cuts, bruises and injuries can remain part of the boxer’s story and push the fighter closer to retirement. It is a useful description of the solo loop, but it is not a promise of player-versus-player competition.

The launch presentation and the later playable-fighter plan are separate stages. At release, the partnership is described through visual branding and selected real-world fights on the gym television.
