The main set has 261 cards; that number does not include every Bloomburrow-related Commander card, Special Guest, token, or alternate treatment. Use the sections below to find the right list for what you mean by “every card.”
How many cards are in Bloomburrow?
The Bloomburrow main set contains 261 cards: 20 mythic rares, 60 rares, 100 uncommons, and 81 commons, according to Wizards of the Coast’s 2024 collecting guide.
That is the count for the main set, not a total for every card or printing associated with the release. Wizards covers Commander cards, ten Special Guests, Imagine: Courageous Critters cards, tokens, and alternate treatments separately. The card gallery is the best starting point for images; consult the collecting guide for how those categories fit into products and treatments.
Where to browse every Bloomburrow card
For card-by-card images, start with the official Bloomburrow Card Image Gallery. It is Wizards’ central visual reference for the set and points readers to the collecting guide for product and treatment details.

- Special Guests: Ten previously printed cards associated with Bloomburrow, identified by the SPG set code.
- Tokens and treatments: Additional product components and versions documented in the collecting guide; these should not be added to the main-set count as though they were all new main-set cards.
What are the Bloomburrow Special Guests?
Bloomburrow has ten Special Guests: previously printed cards from a variety of backgrounds, associated with the release under the SPG code. Wizards’ release notes say these cards are legal in formats where a card with the same name is permitted. That statement does not replace current format rules or ban lists, so check the relevant format information before relying on a card’s present-day legality.
Special Guests are part of the broader release, not part of the 261-card main-set tally. They can appear through booster products, but booster contents are randomized: buying a booster does not guarantee a particular Special Guest.
What are the four Bloomburrow Commander decks?
Wizards released four ready-to-play, 100-card preconstructed Commander decks. The names and color identities are:

- CONTENTS—1 ready-to-play Animated Army Bloomburrow Commander Deck, a 2-card Collector Booster Sample Pack, 10 double-sided tokens, and 1 deck box
| Deck | Color identity | Theme and play pattern |
|---|---|---|
| Animated Army | Red-green | Built around animated objects and creature-focused pressure. A natural fit for players who enjoy developing a board and turning it sideways. |
| Family Matters | Blue-red-white | Centers on family and creature interactions, with a strategy that rewards coordinating multiple creatures and their effects. |
| Peace Offering | Green-white-blue | Leans into a gift-giving, social play pattern, with effects that can benefit opponents as well as its pilot. |
| Squirreled Away | Black-green | Focuses on squirrels and accumulating resources, suiting players who like building a wide board and converting resources into pressure. |
The themes and play-pattern descriptions are editorial summaries; Wizards’ decklist page is the source for the named decks, colors, and card lists.
What comes in each Bloomburrow Commander deck?
Each of the four decks includes the same type of product contents: a ready-to-play 100-card deck, three traditional foil cards, a Collector Booster Sample Pack, ten double-sided tokens, a deck box, and a strategy insert. The individual card lists differ; Wizards publishes those lists on its Commander decklists page.
Those lists are decklists, not exact images of the cards in a sealed package. Wizards notes that interactive lists may display the newest database printing of a card, rather than the specific printing included in the product.
How to choose between Bloomburrow products
The right product depends on whether you want a playable deck, a broad sampling of cards, or a particular card or treatment.

- Choose a Commander deck if you want a ready-to-play 100-card multiplayer deck with a defined color identity and strategy.
- Choose a Starter Kit if you want two preconstructed 60-card decks and a play guide. Its MTG Arena codes are available only where Wizards says they are included.
- Choose a Bundle for a mixed set of play and storage items. The 2024 collecting guide lists nine Play Boosters, lands, an alternate-art Thundertrap Trainer, a spindown counter, a storage box, and reference cards.
- Choose Play Boosters or Collector Boosters for randomized openings. Play Boosters include different possible slots, while Collector Boosters emphasize premium treatments; neither guarantees a named card.
- Look up a specific card first in the image gallery or collecting guide rather than buying randomized boosters in hopes of opening it.
Wizards’ guide lists a 1.5% chance for a Play Booster to contain a card from The List in place of a common; Bloomburrow’s List consists of Special Guests. This is a stated chance for that slot, not a guarantee or a chance of a specific Special Guest. The guide also notes that its probabilities may not sum to 100% because of rounding.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Bloomburrow treatments and related card counts
The collecting guide identifies 24 Imagine: Courageous Critters cards across the set. Five appear among a raised-foil anime card group described in the guide, and each Commander deck features a foil Imagine: Courageous Critters planeswalker card. These treatment counts are separate from the 261-card main-set count, so they should not be added to it as though they represented 24 additional main-set cards.
The same guide describes seasonal full-art basic lands, art cards, Play Booster and Collector Booster contents, and the products built around the release. Different versions and product inclusions explain why “every Bloomburrow card” can refer to more than one checklist; the official collecting guide is the reference for those distinctions.
Bloomburrow release dates
Wizards listed July 30, 2024, for the MTG Arena release and August 2, 2024, for the global tabletop release. These are the published launch dates, not a statement about current stock or availability.

- In Bloomburrow, the Valley is threatened by elemental forces raging out of control, and salvation falls on the shoulders of its smallest protectors. Players will put their best paws forward, fighting alongside mice, frogs, bats, birds, and myriad other critters to restore the balance of peace—and prove bravery comes in all sizes.
New mechanics in Bloomburrow
Bloomburrow introduced Gift and Offspring. The concise descriptions below orient readers to the mechanics; Wizards’ release notes provide the detailed card-by-card rules explanations.
Gift
Gift is an optional promise made as an additional cost. If the promise is made, the promised gift is delivered later, with timing depending on whether the spell is a permanent or not. Main-set cards may promise Food, Treasure, a card, or a tapped Fish; Commander cards also include an Octopus or an extra turn.
Offspring
Offspring is an additional cost on certain creature spells. When a creature with Offspring enters, paying that cost can create a 1/1 token copy of it.
