What is Bloons TD 6?
Bloons TD 6 is a tower-defense game in which you place Monkey towers, upgrade them through branching paths and stop waves of Bloons from reaching the exit. Heroes add distinct abilities and progression, while different Bloon properties force you to combine damage, income, support and crowd control instead of relying on one tower.
The Windows version supports solo play and online co-op. PC controls also make precise tower placement, upgrading and map management comfortable with a mouse. Steam lists achievements, Family Sharing, Remote Play and in-app purchases, although those are Steam-store features and should not automatically be assumed to apply to every edition.

Where to download Bloons TD 6 for Windows
Steam
- Install the official Steam client and sign in.
- Search for Bloons TD 6.
- Confirm that Ninja Kiwi is shown as developer and publisher.
- Purchase the game, then open Library.
- Select Bloons TD 6, choose Install and select an installation drive.
- Launch it from Steam after installation completes.
Steam is the most convenient choice if your existing PC library, achievements and friends are already there. Check the live store page for the price in your country; discounts, taxes and regional pricing change.
Epic Games Store
- Install the official Epic Games Launcher and sign in.
- Search for Bloons TD 6 and verify Ninja Kiwi’s publisher information.
- Buy or claim the game only through a legitimate Epic promotion.
- Open Library, select the game and click Install.
- Start the game through the Epic Games Launcher.

These are modest requirements by current PC-gaming standards. Integrated graphics may be suitable if they meet the stated OpenGL requirement, but the minimum specification is not a guarantee of identical performance during long freeplay sessions, co-op or visually dense rounds. Leave additional disk space for launcher data, updates and Windows overhead.

Move mobile or Steam progress to Epic
Ninja Kiwi supports an official linking-code process for compatible mobile and Steam accounts. Linking transfers access to supported progress; it does not provide a second free license for the target storefront.
- Open your existing Steam or mobile version.
- At the splash screen, choose I’ve played Before.
- Create or sign in to a Ninja Kiwi account.
- Open the profile screen and select Get a Linking Code.
- Launch the Epic version and choose I’ve played Before.
- Enter the code exactly, including uppercase letters and the hyphen.
- Confirm that the correct profile and progress appear.
Use the official Ninja Kiwi Epic linking guide. It does not apply to the Apple Arcade Bloons TD 6+ edition. Linking and cloud saves also depend on compatible editions and supported platforms. Ninja Kiwi identifies Steam, Epic, Windows Store, iOS, Google Play and Amazon among eligible platforms for its account-linking systems, while Apple Arcade, Netflix and consoles have separate limitations.

Link accounts before building substantial progress on a new installation. Do not manually copy save files between devices or accounts; Ninja Kiwi warns that this can cause account problems.

- Branching tower upgrades: Choose paths that specialise in attack speed, range, damage, pierce, utility or support.
- Heroes: Each Hero has distinct abilities and levels during a match. Their value depends on the map and strategy, so there is no single universally best choice.
- Solo and online co-op: Co-op lets players divide defensive and economic responsibilities, but requires an internet connection and compatible, updated versions.
- Replayable content: Standard games, challenges, events, special modes, Hero and tower experimentation, and high-round freeplay provide reasons to revisit maps.
- PC convenience: A larger display and mouse control help with placement and upgrades. Keyboard shortcuts may be available, but check the current in-game controls menu rather than relying on an outdated list.
- Optional purchases: Store listings identify in-app purchases. They are separate from the base-game license; do not treat a promotion, subscription edition or mobile offer as a permanent free Windows copy.
Beginner tips that remain useful after balance updates
Build for roles, not just price
Early-game damage, reliable anti-Camo coverage, Lead and Ceramic popping, MOAB-class damage, crowd control, income and buffs solve different problems. A balanced defence is generally safer than spending all available cash on one expensive tower.
Place a Hero early when practical
Heroes gain experience during play, so placing one early can improve its progression. Learn its active abilities and position it where it can contribute safely. Choose according to the map and plan rather than copying a supposedly universal best Hero.

Read upgrade descriptions
The most expensive upgrade is not automatically the correct one. Decide whether the defence needs range, attack speed, damage, pierce or utility, and test combinations in low-pressure modes before risking a difficult run.
Respect Bloon properties
Camo, Lead, Purple, Regrow, Ceramic and MOAB-class Bloons require different answers, while fast or tightly grouped waves test different weaknesses. Counters depend on the tower version and current balance, so verify the interaction in the present game build.
Grow the economy carefully
Income-generating towers can determine whether a strategy survives later rounds, but farming before the defence is stable can cause an early loss. Protect valuable economy towers and coordinate roles in co-op instead of having every player build the same type of defence.
Practise instead of memorising one build order
Sandbox and lower-pressure modes are useful for learning tower interactions, timing and placement. Balance updates can make a fixed build outdated, while understanding the underlying roles transfers to new maps and challenges.
First-launch checklist
- Launch through Steam or Epic rather than a copied executable.
- Allow additional content and updates to finish downloading.
- Sign in or link a Ninja Kiwi account if you already have progress.
- Check graphics quality, resolution, fullscreen/windowed mode, audio and controls.
- Update fully before joining co-op.

Fix common Windows problems
Epic is stuck during launch
Try these steps in order:
- Install the latest x64 Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Accept the Epic account-permission prompt.
- Disable third-party overlays and GPU-optimisation tools; fully close Discord if its overlay interferes.
- Launch from the Epic Games Launcher, not the executable or a third-party launcher.
- Confirm that you are using a supported Windows environment rather than attempting to run the Epic version on macOS or Linux.

- Restart Windows and Steam.
- Open Library.
- Right-click Bloons TD 6 and choose Properties.
- Open Installed Files—older Steam versions may call this Local Files.
- Choose Verify integrity of game files.
Storefront rollouts can be delayed or filtered by region. Refresh the launcher and store page, then wait briefly if an update has only just started rolling out. Do not uninstall immediately; Ninja Kiwi warns that premature reinstallation can risk data loss. If the problem continues, use the official support hub.
Protect your account from flags
Do not use pirated clients, mods, third-party game editors or manually copied saves on your main account. A flagged account may lose access to Contested Territories, public co-op lobbies, online Boss leaderboards and online Race leaderboards. Ninja Kiwi says flags are removed only when it determines that the flag was applied in error.

Neither storefront is universally better. Base the decision on the live price in your region, your existing library, account history and which launcher you want to use. Progress linking does not necessarily remove the need to buy the game on the target storefront.
Is the PC version worth it?
It is a strong fit for players who want a desktop tower-defense experience, mouse precision, online co-op and a game that can run on hardware meeting relatively modest listed requirements. Steam is convenient for established Steam users; Epic makes sense for Epic users or a legitimate sale.
Think twice if you already own another edition and do not want to purchase a separate PC license. Transfer and cross-play depend on compatible editions, and Bloons TD 6+, Netflix, Apple Arcade and console versions should not be treated as identical to standard PC Bloons TD 6.
