The Blue Gate Cellar Key is a map-specific, one-use key in ARC Raiders. It opens locked cellar doors on The Blue Gate, including doors in Trapper’s Glade and near the southern Olive Grove/Ruined Homestead area. The key is found as random loot rather than at one guaranteed spawn, and using it consumes it.
If you want to open both known cellar locations in one expedition, bring two keys. Store each key in your Safe Pocket before entering the raid, because losing the raid can otherwise mean losing the key before you reach a door.

Blue Gate Cellar Key location
There is no reliably confirmed exclusive spawn for the Blue Gate Cellar Key. Treat it as random loot: search ordinary containers throughout raids, with residential areas and other densely searchable locations being sensible places to look.
Some guides identify Ruby Residence on Dam Battlegrounds as a useful place to farm the key. That should be read as a reported farming location, not a guaranteed spawn. Finding the key there does not mean you need to use it on Dam Battlegrounds. The “Blue Gate” designation describes where the key works, not necessarily where it drops.

Best way to search for it
- Search residential buildings and other areas with many cabinets, drawers, bags, and containers.
- Do not abandon a raid simply because you did not find the key in one named location; the drop is random.
- When you find one, move it to your Safe Pocket before taking unnecessary risks.
- Do not carry it through several unrelated raids unless you have a reason to visit The Blue Gate soon.
Where to use the Blue Gate Cellar Key
The key is used on locked cellar entrances on The Blue Gate. Two areas are repeatedly identified as valid locations.
1. Trapper’s Glade
The first confirmed use area is Trapper’s Glade. Look for a locked cellar door around the heart of the glade and the nearby Nature-area terrain. Descriptions of the entrance vary between the southern and southwestern side of the area, so relying on a single compass bearing can be misleading.
Once you are in Trapper’s Glade, search around the isolated cellar entrance rather than looking for a large, prominent building marker. If the door has a key interaction prompt and you have the Blue Gate Cellar Key in your inventory, you are at the correct type of entrance.
2. Southern Olive Grove and Ruined Homestead
The second reported location is on the southern side of Olive Grove, near or southwest of the Ruined Homestead. Some location descriptions place it west of Olive Grove, while others describe it as farther southwest or near the southern edge of the map. These references point to the same general search area.
Travel to the southern Olive Grove side of The Blue Gate and inspect isolated cellar or basement entrances in the surrounding terrain. Do not search only at the Olive Grove map label itself; the door may be easier to find by checking the nearby western and southern ground for a standalone entrance.

Do not confuse it with Raider’s Refuge
The Raider’s Refuge cellar is a separate puzzle and does not use the Blue Gate Cellar Key. That cellar opens after you locate and activate four buttons. If you arrive at Raider’s Refuge and see a button puzzle rather than a locked key door, you are dealing with a different objective.

- Blue Gate Cellar Key: opens certain locked cellar doors at Trapper’s Glade and near southern Olive Grove/Ruined Homestead.
- Raider’s Refuge: opens through a four-button puzzle.
How the key works
The Blue Gate Cellar Key is consumed after one use. It is not a reusable permanent key.
That makes your inventory planning important. One key opens one cellar. To visit both known keyed cellars during the same expedition, you need two keys. If you have only one, choose the location that fits your route and extraction plan instead of assuming you can open both.
Recommended pre-raid checklist
- Put the key in your Safe Pocket.
- Deploy on The Blue Gate.
- Identify which cellar is closest to your landing area or intended route.
- Plan an extraction before opening the door.
- Only use the key when you can safely loot and leave.
What loot is inside?
The cellars are chance-based loot rooms, not guaranteed blueprint or purple-loot vaults. Reports describe ordinary containers such as cabinets and drawers, along with ammunition and a possibility of more valuable gear or blueprints.
The reward can feel underwhelming on one run and worthwhile on another. Some players report valuable blueprint finds, while other runs produce mostly standard loot. The evidence does not support treating either cellar as a guaranteed high-tier reward location.

Practical rule: use the key when the cellar is already near your route or when you can afford the risk. Do not burn a rare opportunity solely because a guide promises a guaranteed blueprint.

Both cellar areas are relatively peripheral, which can reduce the chance of running into other players compared with heavily contested central points. It does not make the route safe: ARC patrols, roaming players, map conditions, and the trip back to extraction can still turn a profitable run into a loss.
- Secure the key first. Keep it in the Safe Pocket so an unsuccessful raid does not take it from your normal inventory.
- Choose the nearer cellar. A long cross-map detour is often less valuable than preserving your gear and extraction chance.
- Scout the entrance. Check for ARC threats and signs of recent player activity before interacting with the door.
- Open only with an exit in mind. The key is consumed immediately, so do not use it while trapped deep in hostile territory with no practical way out.
- Loot efficiently. Check the containers, take the highest-value items first, and avoid lingering after finding something important.
- Extract promptly. Use the nearest known hatch, airshaft, or surface extraction route available for the current raid.
For the southern Olive Grove route, the Highway Collapse Hatch north of Olive Grove has been identified as one possible exit. Treat any named extraction recommendation as provisional: map conditions and available routes can change, so confirm what is active in the current raid before committing to the route.
Map conditions matter
Conditions such as Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm, or Cold Snap can change how attractive a cellar run is by affecting visibility, threat levels, loot priorities, or extraction decisions. They are not automatically good or bad for this objective. Consider the condition alongside your equipment, the value of your current loadout, and whether you have a reliable way out.
Should you keep the Blue Gate Cellar Key?
Keep it if you already intend to deploy on The Blue Gate and can reach one of the cellars without a dangerous detour. The key has a clear use, is consumed on activation, and may lead to valuable randomized loot.

Do not prioritize carrying it indefinitely if you have no Blue Gate plan. It takes up inventory space, and the reward is not guaranteed to repay a risky trip. Its value depends on your current gear, risk tolerance, map condition, and ability to extract—not on a fixed average reward established by the available reports.
