Its listed dedicated legendary drops are Budget Deity, Sho Kunai, and Waterfall. After the mission, Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine lets you respawn the boss for repeat fights.
Bio-Bulkhead location and access
The boss arena is at the end of Synthetic Nave, in the Dissected Plateau region of Fadefields. Mobalytics’ boss list also places Bio-Bulkhead there and identifies One Fell Swoop as the access requirement: Mobalytics’ Borderlands 4 boss list.
To reach the arena, start at Dissected Plateau fast travel, follow the main route into the facility, take the elevator in the central hall, then drop through the chute. These route directions come from the Bio-Bulkhead encounter guide. On later visits, that guide says you can run past most enemies.

The listed dedicated legendary pool contains three items. The sources identify the drops but do not establish a reliable per-item drop probability.

These item descriptions are listed by Mobalytics and the encounter guide. Neither gives a dependable statistical estimate for how many runs a particular drop may take.
How to farm Bio-Bulkhead
- Complete One Fell Swoop. The mission unlocks access to the encounter.
- Return to the arena in Synthetic Nave. Use the Dissected Plateau route described above.
- Interact with Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine. It respawns Bio-Bulkhead for another fight. The encounter guide says the fee is in-game cash and scales with player level; check the machine for the current amount, since the reviewed official notes do not state its price.
- Repeat the fight and check the loot. No reliable per-item odds are published in the sources cited here, so a fixed number of runs cannot be promised.
How to break Bio-Bulkhead’s immunity
Bio-Bulkhead’s immunity is temporary, not a reason to keep firing into a protected phase. The Epic Games Store’s boss guide says to grapple a Locust Canister and throw it at Bio-Bulkhead. A successful hit removes immunity briefly, opening a damage window. The guide also warns about the boss’s pounces and melee attacks and recommends keeping distance.

The encounter guide recommends corrosive or cryo against exposed armor and says shock, radiation, and incendiary are ineffective. The official encounter guide reviewed here does not confirm those specific elemental matchups, so treat them as that guide’s advice rather than a verified rule.

Borderlands Support’s March 5, 2026 update notes say dedicated loot reward chances were standardized across base-game bosses, Bounty Packs, and Invincible encounters. The notes explicitly exclude Phosophene drop rates from that change, but do not publish Bio-Bulkhead’s item-specific chance.

The October 23, 2025 update notes record changes to One Fell Swoop to prevent players from being left floating, a correction to Bio-Bulkhead’s elemental icon, and smoother movement after certain attacks. Because the notes do not specify an exact drop chance or Encore Machine price, those values should be checked in-game rather than assumed from older guides.
