When was the Black Ops 7 beta?
Activision scheduled the beta for October 2–8, 2025. Early access began October 2 at 10 a.m. PT and was scheduled for 72 hours; the open beta began October 5 at 10 a.m. PT and was scheduled to run for another 72 hours, ending October 8 at 10 a.m. PT. The beta is now over. Activision’s release and beta announcement listed those dates and times.

Internet access was required. Digital preorder customers were automatically registered for early access; some physical console preorder copies from select retailers included a beta code. What maps were in the Black Ops 7 beta?
Activision announced six 6v6 maps for beta availability, with content rolling out in stages rather than all six being available at the start. The September 22 multiplayer deep dive described the settings and approximate map sizes as follows:

The initial lineup and later additions should not be confused with the six-map announcement. The beta guide described early access as starting with three maps and four modes, then adding a map and Zombies Survival on Vandorn Farm after play began. It identified The Forge, Cortex, Exposure and Imprint among the core maps in the early-access content described in that guide. The official guide’s summary put it simply: “The Black Ops 7 Beta takes place Oct. 2–8, with more maps and modes being introduced throughout the play period.”
What did the first multiplayer trailer and gameplay reveal show?
The phrase “first multiplayer gameplay trailer” can refer to two related but distinct announcements. On September 22, Activision published its multiplayer reveal package and deep dive, which included a trailer and details about maps and modes. On September 30, Call of Duty: NEXT was billed as the worldwide multiplayer reveal and showed live multiplayer and Zombies gameplay.

The official NEXT recap reports gameplay on Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Forge, Imprint and Toshin. Matches featured Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint and Overload, a new mode. This recap is the clearest source for which maps and modes appeared in gameplay at NEXT; those event matches should not be attributed to the September 22 trailer.
How many maps were planned for launch?
In its September 22 deep dive, Activision described 16 core 6v6 launch maps and two 20v20 Skirmish maps, and identified six 6v6 maps for the beta. A later official overview described 16 6v6 maps and two Skirmish maps before Season 01; it also said Nuketown 2025 would arrive during preseason on November 20, 2025. These are dated publisher-announced lineups, not a claim that every map was available in the beta. The later maps overview gives the preseason context.

No. The beta ended on October 8, 2025. Activision announced November 14, 2025 as the game’s release date. For playing now, check the official release information and current platform or edition listings, since availability can vary by platform and region.
