The detailed fixes below come from a secondary patch-notes report; Activision’s archive confirms a Warzone Season One patch-notes entry on that date, but does not show this detailed 1.52 list.
What changed in Warzone update 1.52?
The reported list focuses on fixes rather than a new mode or major content release. It covers map collision, crashes and instability, display issues, Buy Back loadouts, and the timing of a Battle Royale public event.

Caldera collision and falling through the map
- Collision issues across Caldera that could let players exploit map elements or shoot through them were addressed.
- A separate fix targeted players falling through the map while trying to enter a pool.
Stability and live-match crashes
- An instability issue triggered by pressing the Xbox Home button twice while in a match was fixed.
- The report also lists an instability issue involving non-ASCII characters, including ©, ®, ™, and ∅.
- A fix was listed for live matches crashing.
Menus and Store Bundle images
- A menu-screen flicker issue was fixed.
- Placeholder images appearing in Store Bundle previews or purchases were addressed.
Buy Back respawns and Loadouts
The update reportedly fixed a Buy Back respawn issue in which a player could retain part of their original Loadout. The report does not specify which Loadout items could carry over.
Battle Royale Loadout Public Event
The second Loadout Public Event was reportedly fixed so it would occur in core Battle Royale modes.

No. Version 1.52 is a historical update from the Caldera era, released on January 26, 2022; it should not be read as a patch for today’s live Warzone. Activision later described Warzone Caldera as a separate game from Warzone 2.0 in its November 2022 overview.
