No—not through an official direct transfer. IO Interactive’s legacy progression-carryover process was for HITMAN 2 profiles moving to HITMAN 3, not standalone HITMAN 1 profiles. That separate HITMAN 2-to-HITMAN 3 process closed after February 3, 2026. Playing the first game’s missions in HITMAN World of Assassination is a matter of content access, not importing an old profile.
Can you transfer a HITMAN 1 save or unlocks to HITMAN 3?
IO Interactive’s published rules do not describe a direct migration for progression from a standalone HITMAN 1 profile into HITMAN 3 or HITMAN World of Assassination. That means you should not expect an old profile’s mastery, challenges, XP, or unlocks to appear simply because you own or install the newer game.

The legacy transfer IOI did document was HITMAN 2 to HITMAN 3. IOI announced that this carryover would close to enable the newer cross-progression system, with the deadline set at February 3, 2026. The announced window has ended; the public rules do not establish a way to start that legacy carryover now. IOI’s Year 2 notes also distinguish the transfer of progression from the conversion of mission access.

These are separate things, and having one does not automatically provide the others:

Can you still play HITMAN 1 missions?
IOI announced HITMAN World of Assassination as including the HITMAN 1 GOTY Access Pass and HITMAN 2 Standard Access Pass content. This is access to missions within the current package, not proof that a standalone HITMAN 1 profile can be imported. Check the current edition and entitlement for your platform before buying or downloading; access may depend on the platform and content you own. IOI announced cross-progression on January 20, 2026. It stores progression online and shares it among supported platform profiles linked to an IOI Account. You select one platform profile as the Primary Account; the other linked platforms follow that profile. The feature is for synchronizing World of Assassination progress, not a documented import path for a standalone HITMAN 1 save. Read IOI’s cross-progression announcement.

Progression that is shared
IOI lists experience, player level, challenges, location mastery, unlocks and inventory, achievements or trophies, Freelancer progression, and campaign story progress as shared data.

Game and DLC licenses, DLC-based unlocks, and user-created contracts are not shared. You must own the relevant content on each platform to access it there. Before activating cross-progression, choose the intended primary profile carefully: IOI says non-primary profiles’ old saves may not be loadable while the feature is active. Disabling cross-progression restores those profiles to their state from before activation.

What to do, depending on your goal
- Recover old HITMAN 1 progression: there is no direct transfer route described in IOI’s published rules. Buying the newer game or gaining Access Pass content does not itself restore that profile.
- Play HITMAN 1 missions in the current game: check whether the appropriate Access Pass content is included in or available for your platform’s current edition.
- Use current World of Assassination progress on another platform: link the supported platforms through an IOI Account and select the profile you want to use as primary, taking the save-state behavior into account first.
- Resolve an account-specific problem: contact IOI Player Support. A special exception reopening the closed legacy carryover is not established in IOI’s public information.
