How to get a house in Solstheim
- Travel to Raven Rock on Solstheim and complete the side quest Served Cold.
- After the quest, Councilor Lleril Morvayn awards you Severin Manor, the former home of the Severin family.
The quest involves investigating a conspiracy against Morvayn. A quest guide identifies Severin Manor as the only house ownable on Solstheim. The manor reference and UESP’s entry also describe it as a quest reward.
What Severin Manor offers
Severin Manor is a furnished Redoran-style home in Raven Rock, with facilities suited to a working base. Listed amenities include an alchemy lab, an arcane enchanter, a cooking pot, a forge and related smithing equipment. The manor reference and UESP’s entry describe its furnishings and facilities.
Can you build a home there instead?
Not through the standard Hearthfire homestead system: its three named building plots are in Skyrim, not Solstheim. They are Lakeview Manor in Falkreath Hold, Windstad Manor in Hjaalmarch, and Heljarchen Hall in the Pale. For a Solstheim home in the standard Dragonborn and Hearthfire content, the listed option is to earn Severin Manor. Mods or other add-on content may offer different housing.
