1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsOfficial sources reviewed do not show a current free PC copy of Fallout: New Vegas. A legitimate giveaway or subscription offer may become available in your region, but otherwise you’ll need to buy the game. Keep free ownership, subscription access and cloud play separate: they are not the same thing.
Is Fallout: New Vegas currently free on PC?
No free PC entitlement was verified on the official sources reviewed. That does not rule out a later, limited-time giveaway or a regional offer: check the local official store listing before claiming the game is free.

Obsidian lists Windows, Steam and GOG among the game’s platforms, and Bethesda’s catalog lists Steam and Epic Games. These listings identify official distribution channels; they do not mean the game is free. Obsidian gives the release date as October 19, 2010. Obsidian’s official game page and Bethesda’s catalog provide the platform information.
How to check for a legitimate free offer
- Check the game’s listing in your regional Steam, GOG or Epic Games store. Bethesda’s catalog also lists the game for Steam and Epic Games. Confirm that the offer says you can claim or keep the PC game at no cost; a discount is still a purchase.
- Look for a giveaway announced by Bethesda, Xbox, Steam, GOG or Epic Games. Confirm its dates, region, platform and claim requirements on the official announcement or store page.
- If you already subscribe to a game service, search its current catalog and check which device and access method the listing covers. A subscription entry may grant temporary access while you remain eligible, rather than a copy you own.
Does Game Pass give you a free PC copy?
Xbox’s listing says cloud-play access is included with Game Pass Premium and Ultimate. That describes cloud gaming on Xbox Cloud Gaming; it does not establish that subscribers can install and keep a Windows PC copy. Check the current Xbox listing for your region and device before subscribing for access. Xbox’s Fallout: New Vegas listing

What about Bethesda’s Anniversary Bundle?
Bethesda announced on October 23, 2025 that its 15th Anniversary Bundle would be available for PC in 2026. It includes a PC digital code for Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition and six add-ons: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, Courier’s Stash Weapon Pack and Gun Runner’s Arsenal Weapon Pack. This is a paid bundle, not a free giveaway. Check Bethesda’s announcement and your local store for current availability and regional terms. Bethesda’s bundle announcement
If there is no free offer, where can you get the PC game?
Buy it through an official PC storefront. Obsidian lists Steam and GOG; Bethesda also lists Steam and Epic Games. Store prices, sales and availability can change, so use the live regional listing rather than relying on an old price. The sources reviewed do not establish a current price or sale status.

Why unofficial “free download” offers are not a safe alternative
Torrents and unauthorized downloads are not legitimate ways to claim the game. They may also expose you to malware or files that do not match the game. A genuine limited-time giveaway comes from an official store or is announced by the publisher or platform, and its terms explain whether you receive a lasting license or only temporary access.
