Earn the Arborist Triumph by completing the Convalescence: Budding quest: finish Ascent, Dissent, and Iconoclasm in Cooperative Focus mode, then return to the Arbor of Light and complete the quest’s final step.
Arborist Triumph requirements
Arborist is a 20-point Triumph in The Pale Heart > World > Pursuits. Its objective is “Arbor nurtured.” The Triumph record describes the goal as “Help the Traveler begin to heal by tending the Arbor of Light.” (Destiny2.GamesRef; light.gg)

How to unlock Arborist
- Find Convalescence: Budding. Check your quest inventory or the quest kiosk, then follow the quest’s current in-game instruction.
- Complete Ascent, Dissent, and Iconoclasm in Cooperative Focus mode. Make sure the activity is set to Cooperative Focus, as the quest step specifies.
- Return to the Arbor of Light. Complete the final interaction or turn-in step prompted by Convalescence: Budding.
- Check your Triumphs. Open The Pale Heart > World > Pursuits and look for Arborist. If the game displays a claim action, claim it.
The quest record lists the three Cooperative Focus missions followed by a return to the Arbor of Light, and associates Convalescence: Budding with Microcosm. (light.gg quest records) A June 2024 player discussion also reports receiving Arborist around the quest’s Microcosm reward point; treat that as corroboration rather than official confirmation. If Arborist does not unlock
Use the quest’s current step as the guide: complete the Cooperative Focus missions when directed, then return to the Arbor and finish the final quest interaction. Bungie documented a past Convalescence: Budding progression issue and advised players not to launch the Cooperative Focus activities until the quest directed them to do so. That was historical guidance and does not establish that the same issue is active now. (Bungie Weekly Update, June 2024)

If the quest is complete but the Triumph is absent, check the Triumphs screen again and verify that the final interaction registered. The Triumph record establishes its objective and location, but does not document whether the game always requires a separate claim action.

Bungie’s Update 9.7.0 support guide says planned live-service updates ended with the June 9, 2026 update, while noting that hotfixes may still be released for game health and stability. Bungie also says content available by that update remains available. The guide does not specifically address Arborist; its current listing is reflected in third-party Triumph records.
