For a non-defective custom controller, SCUF says a 15% restocking fee may apply; pre-configured controllers are exempt from that fee. The return policy also limits opened-item returns to faulty products or items supplied in error, so an opened controller you simply dislike may not qualify.

These instructions are from SCUF’s US English support site. They may not apply to orders placed in other countries or through another retailer. Local consumer rights and the seller’s own rules may also affect your options.
Does the 15% restocking fee apply to every SCUF?
No. SCUF’s support FAQ says pre-configured controllers are exempt. The 15% fee may apply when a custom product is returned for a reason unrelated to a defect. SCUF’s terms of sale also permit additional charges for excessive use or damage. Check the terms that apply to your purchase before sending a controller back.
What if you already opened the controller?
SCUF’s US FAQ says it accepts opened-item returns only when the product is faulty or was supplied in error. That means opening a controller to try it out does not, by itself, make an ordinary change-of-mind return eligible under the stated policy. If it has a fault or SCUF sent the wrong item, use the separate process for that issue rather than treating it as buyer’s remorse.

How to request an eligible refund return
- Open SCUF’s Online Return Center (the exact URL supplied for SCUF’s return FAQ and return-center instructions is incomplete).
- Have your order number and the email address used for the order ready.
- Submit a separate RMA request for each product or SKU.
- If your purchase was a bundle, return every product in it to receive a full refund.
- Pay the return shipping cost and keep the item and packaging secure until SCUF receives it.
SCUF’s support FAQ describes the standard window as 30 days from delivery. Its terms of sale use broader wording referring to 30 days from purchase; for the US support workflow, the delivery-based deadline is the specific instruction.
If the controller is damaged, faulty, or incorrect
Damaged during transit
Keep all packaging and contact SCUF support immediately. SCUF’s FAQ gives seven working days after receipt to return a product damaged in transit for an exchange.

Faulty or incorrect item
SCUF’s FAQ sets out separate 30-day periods for faulty and incorrect goods. Because these cases are handled differently from a return simply because you do not like the controller, contact support and follow the instructions for the specific problem.

A warranty may provide remedies for qualifying faults, but it does not extend the ordinary return-for-dissatisfaction period. SCUF’s current US warranty page lists one year of coverage for new Instinct, Reflex, Envision, Nomad, and Valor controllers bought from SCUF or an authorized reseller, subject to the written warranty terms. Check the applicable terms for eligibility and remedies.
