The Global version of Code Geass: Lost Stories reportedly shut down on August 29, 2024, at 00:00 PST. That date has passed, so the old instructions for preparing a transfer are now historical—not proof that a Global account can still be recovered. The shutdown date appears in a secondary archived profile extract reproducing the game’s Global account announcement; a primary notice was not independently available. The available guidance does not establish post-shutdown recovery or transfer to the Japanese edition.
Can you transfer a Global account now?
There is no established route in the available official guidance for restoring a Global account after the service ended or importing it into the Japanese edition. Do not install the Japanese app expecting it to recognize a Global account: no cross-region migration is documented.

A Japanese Google Play listing showed an update dated August 28, 2026, but a store listing update does not confirm that the Japanese game servers are available or that Global accounts can transfer there. If you need account-specific help and the relevant service remains accessible, contact that version’s official support.
What the documented transfer methods required
The game’s support FAQs, dated 2022, describe options for changing devices while the service was operating. They are historical instructions, not confirmation that the flows still work after closure.

Transfer ID and password: the historical device-change method
The official FAQ advised setting a transfer password in advance and keeping it together with the transfer ID. A device’s built-in backup or restore feature was not a substitute for this process and, according to the FAQ, did not transfer the game data.
If you still have access to a live version of the game, follow the transfer or account-linking options shown in that version and seek official support if you cannot access the account. The old instructions do not establish that a transfer credential can recover data from the closed Global service.

Google or Apple linking and operating-system limits
The external-linking FAQ named Google and Apple accounts and described setting up a link from the in-game CONFIG screen through Data Link, then using Data Link from the title screen to recover linked data. It said that transfer between different operating systems was not supported. Treat those steps as documented historical guidance; they do not demonstrate that account recovery remains available after shutdown.

Playing smartphone data on PC with DMM
A separate FAQ described linking smartphone game data to a DMM account to play that data on PC. It warned that the link could not be undone. Before using this option on a service that is still accessible, verify that you have the intended game data and DMM account, since the association was not reversible.

Uninstalling is not account deletion
The FAQ distinguished removing the app from deleting the account. Uninstalling did not itself delete the account and the FAQ said resuming could remain possible with transfer credentials. By contrast, the 2024 deletion notice said account deletion permanently removed player data and could not be reversed—even if transfer credentials had been set or an external account linked.
These distinctions matter only where the relevant service can still accept account access or recovery. The documentation does not say that credentials preserve access after the Global shutdown.
