The Helldivers 2 Liberty Day 2026 gift is the AR-23L Liberator Legacy, a retro rifle modeled on weapons from the First Galactic War. Arrowhead’s distribution rule was limited: rifles were issued at 23:59 CET on October 26, 2026 to players who had played since 00:00 CET on September 26, 2026. Because that cutoff has passed and no official late-claim process has been announced, players should not assume the rifle can still be obtained. Liberty Day itself also brought 24-hour ship decorations, community minigames, a downloadable party pack and several physical merchandise options.
What was the Helldivers 2 Liberty Day 2026 gift?
The headline reward was the AR-23L Liberator Legacy, presented as a classic rifle based on weapons used during the First Galactic War. It was the in-game celebration’s central gift for active-duty Helldivers.

Arrowhead Game Studios described 2026 as Liberty Day’s third year. Katherine Baskin, Arrowhead’s Social Media and Community Manager, said: “We at Arrowhead Studios are excited to mark Liberty Day, the Helldivers 2 in-universe celebration, that’s now in its third year.”
Eligibility and distribution time
The official footnote stated: “Rifles are distributed at the end of Liberty Day, 23:59 CET on October 26, 2026. Available to all players who have played since September 26, 2026, 00:00 CET.” These are CET times, not automatically your local time.

October 26 has now passed. The announcement does not describe a second distribution, a support-ticket process or a late-claim window, so there is no confirmed way to obtain the rifle after the stated cutoff.
What changed in-game during Liberty Day?
Super Destroyers displayed banners, rugs, party supplies and other Liberty Day decorations for 24 hours on October 26. The decorations were temporary, so a ship viewed after the event should not be expected to retain them.
The event’s flavor text also referenced an orbital bombardment yield of 15,000 megatons. That number is part of the celebration’s fictional presentation, not a real-world weapons specification.
What were the Helldivers 2 Liberty Day minigames?
The community activities combined chat participation with simple cooperative tasks. Some were limited to members of the official Helldivers 2 Discord server.

What should you do if you missed the rifle cutoff?
There is no confirmed late-claim route in the Liberty Day announcement. You can still use the Party Pack, follow future community events and consider the separate merchandise program, but those options do not substitute for the AR-23L Liberator Legacy unlock.
