Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThere is no universally verified cheapest Enshrouded host in 2026. Prices differ by region, tax treatment, player cap, hardware allocation and renewal terms, and the published figures available for comparison are not live checkout results. The sensible bargain is the least expensive plan that covers your real player count, is near most players and discloses enough CPU, memory, storage and support to meet the game’s requirements.
For a small group, begin with the official machine guidance, then use the dated prices below as a shortlist rather than a final recommendation. Confirm the checkout total, renewal price, location, cancellation terms and resource allocation before paying.

What “cheapest but still good” means for Enshrouded
A low monthly number is useful only when the server can run your intended world reliably. A plan advertised for eight slots may have a hard eight-player limit, or it may be a flexible tier whose practical limit depends on CPU contention. “Unlimited” labels do not replace a stated allocation or a tested capacity.

Value therefore has five parts: enough player capacity, CPU and memory that resemble the official recommendation, a location close to the group, recoverable world data and a transparent total price. Control-panel quality and support determine how much time you spend fixing updates, configuration and save files. No comparable independent performance test is available for the plans listed here, so claims such as “lag-free” or “best-performing” would be unjustified.
Official Enshrouded server requirements by player count
Enshrouded Support’s 2024 guidance raises the CPU target as the player count increases. The RAM, storage and upload recommendations remain consistent across the two profiles.
| Intended players | CPU recommendation | RAM | Free SSD space | Upload capacity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4–6 | 6 cores / 12 threads at 3.2 GHz Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD processor | 16 GB | 30 GB | 2 Mbit/s per player |
| 16 | 8 cores / 16 threads at 3.7 GHz Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD processor | 16 GB | 30 GB | 2 Mbit/s per player |
These are recommended machine specifications, not a promise that a shared host’s virtual CPU or advertised tier performs identically. A provider can list a vCPU count without stating its underlying processor, scheduling policy or guaranteed share. Treat the specification as a screening threshold and ask what is actually allocated.

The official FAQ, updated in 2025, reports approximately 4.4 GB of physical RAM while the server process is idle and up to 100 MB more per additional player. It also says current uncompressed server files occupy about 13 GB and recommends 30 GB of free disk space. The measured process figure describes observed use; it does not replace the 16 GB host recommendation, which leaves room for the operating system, updates, save operations and load spikes.
Dated prices and plans worth checking
The figures below come from dated material, not a simultaneous checkout test. HostMyGame’s comparison was published on August 27, 2026, says prices were checked in 2026 and warns that they change regularly. BESTNET-GSERVER’s announcement is dated September 4, 2026. Directory prices are community-maintained starting figures. Check every plan on the provider’s own checkout page in your billing region.
| Provider or plan | Reported price | Capacity or resource note | What to verify |

| BESTNET-GSERVER Large | $19.97 per month, tax excluded | 7 vCPU; new configuration | Memory, location and checkout total |
| BESTNET-GSERVER Enterprise | $40.07 per month, tax excluded | 9 vCPU; new configuration | Memory, location and checkout total |
| Enshrouded on Flux | $3.99 stated directory minimum | Directory lists broad regional coverage | Provider-page price, resources and billing terms |
| SpillHosting | $6.00 stated directory minimum | Directory entry lists Europe | Provider-page price, resources and billing terms |
The BESTNET-GSERVER announcement says its changed configuration applies to new orders, bills monthly and has no setup, minimum-term or cancellation fee. Its dollar amounts are Japan-provider reference prices before tax, so they cannot be compared directly with a tax-inclusive euro checkout. The community directory is useful for discovering candidates, but it specifically tells readers to confirm details with each provider.
A provider page for Shockbyte describes dedicated multiplayer hosting, a control panel and an always-online world, but the opened material did not establish a current price. That information can support a feature comparison, not a claim that it is the cheapest option.
How to choose the cheapest plan that remains usable
1. Match the hard player limit to the group
Count the people who may join simultaneously, not only the number online on a typical evening. Leave a little headroom if your group is growing. A nominal 8-slot plan is not an economical 4-player choice if it throttles CPU, limits backups or charges extra for additional slots.
2. Check allocated CPU, not just a tier name
Compare the provider’s stated cores, threads and processor generation with the official profile for your player count. Ask whether vCPUs are dedicated, pinned or shared and whether the provider publishes any contention policy. Virtual CPU labels are not standardized benchmarks, so a higher number alone does not prove faster simulation.
3. Confirm memory and storage after the operating system
Look for the amount available to the server, not merely the headline RAM in a shared container. Confirm that at least the recommended free SSD space remains after the control panel, logs and backups are accounted for. Faster SSD storage helps save and load operations, but it does not compensate for an undersized CPU.
4. Select a region close to most players
Choose the location that minimizes distance for the majority of the group. A cheaper country can become poor value if players connect across an ocean. Directory location labels are leads, not guarantees; confirm the exact city or region, network policy and whether relocation is possible before ordering.

The Enshrouded FAQ says world save files are created every five minutes. That is the game’s save cadence, not proof that a host retains restorable copies. Ask how often the host copies saves, how many days it retains, where copies are stored and whether restoration is self-service. Download a copy of the world yourself before major updates or experiments.
6. Calculate the real recurring price
At checkout, record currency, tax, billing interval, introductory discount, renewal price, setup charge, cancellation rule and refund window. A monthly reference price can exclude tax or apply only to new orders. Compare the first-year total, not just the first invoice.
7. Inspect management and support
A useful Enshrouded host should expose configuration and save-file access through a control panel or documented file manager, explain how game updates are handled and provide a support channel with stated response expectations. Check whether the plan supports the configuration changes your group needs and whether support can restore a damaged world.

Four players or fewer
Start by comparing the lowest-capacity plans that disclose adequate resources. The Minestrator MyBox 8 listing is described as suitable for up to four players, while the 8-slot NitroServ listing has a lower reported euro price in the same comparison. Neither price establishes performance; compare CPU allocation, memory available to the server and the nearest location before choosing.
Eight to twelve players
An actual 12-player cap avoids paying for a 16-slot tier when the group rarely reaches it. The reported NitroServ 12-slot price sits between its 8-slot and 16-slot listings, but the relevant question is whether the provider’s resource allocation scales with the slot count. Confirm that the plan is not merely a larger label on the same constrained CPU.
Sixteen players
Use the official 16-player CPU profile as the screening target. The reported NitroServ 16-slot and Minestrator MyBox 16 figures are candidates to investigate, while BESTNET-GSERVER’s adjustable 1–16 setting requires particular scrutiny because a configurable slot number does not, by itself, establish that the Starter or another tier meets the recommended processor profile.
Purchase and verification checklist
- Write down the maximum simultaneous players, preferred region and a monthly budget including tax.
- Shortlist plans whose stated capacity covers that player count.
- Request or locate the allocated CPU model or vCPU policy, memory available to the game and SSD allocation.
- Compare those details with the appropriate official recommendation above.
- Read the checkout page for tax, renewal, billing interval, setup fee and cancellation terms.
- Confirm backup frequency, retention, restore method and access to downloadable world saves.
- After ordering, set the region and server name, upload or create the world and make an independent save backup.
- Invite the largest expected group during a normal play session; monitor tick behavior, disconnects and console errors rather than relying on the slot label.
- If problems appear, capture timestamps, player count, region and logs before contacting support. Ask whether CPU contention, memory pressure or a network route is involved.
Self-hosting versus renting
Self-hosting can avoid a monthly bill if you already own a machine and a suitable connection. The official CPU, RAM, SSD and upload figures provide a sizing reference, but you must also handle operating-system updates, firewall rules, port forwarding, power usage, backups and availability. The 2 Mbit/s-per-player upload recommendation scales with every concurrent player, and a residential connection may have less dependable upstream capacity than a rented server.
Renting shifts those operational tasks to a provider and normally keeps the world online while your personal computer is off. It does not eliminate responsibility for backups or configuration. Download a current world copy before changing hosts so that a cancellation or provider outage does not become permanent data loss.

Common cheap-hosting traps
- Comparing different currencies without tax context: a tax-exclusive Japan reference price is not equivalent to a tax-inclusive local euro total.
- Assuming slots equal performance: slot count is a capacity label; it says nothing about CPU contention unless the provider discloses allocation.
- Using the idle RAM figure as the whole requirement: measured process use is not the same as the recommended machine configuration.
- Ignoring renewal pricing: an introductory offer can make the first month look cheaper than the recurring service.
- Relying on game saves as backups: five-minute world saves do not guarantee historical copies or a restore interface.
- Choosing a distant region for a tiny discount: location affects the experience of every player and may be impossible to change later.
- Paying for an unverified claim: without a transparent, comparable test, avoid promises of zero lag or superior performance.
Bottom line
The cheapest reported directory figure is not automatically the cheapest good server, and the available price evidence does not establish a single current winner. For a small European group, the dated NitroServ and Minestrator figures are practical starting points to verify. BESTNET-GSERVER’s tax-exclusive Japan reference prices may be attractive for players who can use that region, while directory minima for Flux and SpillHosting require direct checkout confirmation. Select the least expensive plan that meets the official CPU profile for your player count, provides sufficient memory and SSD space, offers a nearby region and gives you a documented way to restore the world.
