That omission has prompted “snub” framing, but the Academy’s list does not explain why the score is absent. Meanwhile, publisher Kepler Interactive has announced that A Painted Symphony, the game’s official concert, will tour France, Europe and the United States in 2027.
Was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 snubbed by the Grammys?
The official 2026 nominees list for “Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media” names five nominees, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is not among them. The Recording Academy defines the category as recognizing composers for an original score created for or accompanying video games and other interactive media. Its published list does not give a reason for the game’s absence, so “snubbed” is an interpretation of the omission, not an explanation or finding from the Academy.
The five nominees were Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – Secrets of the Spires (Pinar Toprak), Helldivers 2 (Wilbert Roget, II), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Gordy Haab), Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card & A Pirate’s Fortune (Cody Matthew Johnson and Wilbert Roget, II), and Sword of the Sea (Austin Wintory). Sword of the Sea won. The Recording Academy’s 2026 list establishes the nominees and winner, but not why another score was not listed.
When and where does A Painted Symphony tour in 2027?
Kepler Interactive announced the 2027 dates on September 9, 2026. The schedule runs from January through October, with dates in France, elsewhere in Europe and the United States. The publisher says the French and European performances feature Orchestre Curieux. For the U.S. dates, Daniel Sicard conducts Wordless Music Orchestra in New York, while the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra performs in Los Angeles. The announcement also describes a new stage production for this 2027 leg.

What is A Painted Symphony?
A Painted Symphony is the official concert dedicated to the game’s original soundtrack. The announced tour brings composer Lorien Testard and vocalist Alice Duport-Percier together with orchestral performers; the U.S. dates have the separate ensembles and conductor specified above.
