There is no verified single “best” deck for Barrels o’ Fun: the available deck suggestions do not include comparative win rates, and the event schedule on record is historical rather than current. One fully specified option is Giant Skeleton/Rocket; other listed starting points include Ram Rider/Mega Knight, Goblin Giant/Sparky/Rage, and Little Prince/Balloon/Freeze. Choose based on how comfortably you can defend while contesting barrels, and check in-game that the event is available and the cards suit the current balance.
How Barrels o’ Fun works—and whether it is available now
Supercell describes Barrels o’ Fun as a mode built around Elixir barrels. Its July 2024 event announcement says: “These barrels generate Elixir for you, and your enemies if they destroy it.” That makes each barrel a resource to contest, not simply an object to attack without considering who gains Elixir.

Supercell’s schedule placed the mode in both 1v1 and 2v2 from July 22–29, 2024, with a challenge running July 26–29. An earlier schedule listed an event window of November 13–20, 2023, and a challenge from November 17–20. These are past dates; they do not establish that the event is available now or when it might return. Check the in-game event listing before building a deck specifically for it. See Deck Shop’s Barrels o’ Fun deck suggestions. Since this is third-party recommendation content, use it to identify possible archetypes rather than as evidence that one list outperforms another.
A complete example: Giant Skeleton/Rocket
The fully specified list is Giant Skeleton, Skeleton Dragons, Flying Machine, Skeletons, Ice Spirit, Rocket, The Log, and Zap. It is the most reproducible option among the listed suggestions because all eight cards are named. That does not make it a measured top performer: no comparative event statistics are provided.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose a starting point
- Can you defend while contesting a barrel? The barrel mechanic can give Elixir to the opponent if they destroy it, so consider how your deck handles the fight around it rather than treating barrel damage as the only objective.
- Are you comfortable with the named win condition? The suggestions point to different cards and archetypes. Start with the one whose central cards you already know how to use.
- Does the list still fit current balance? Confirm card conditions in-game, particularly for an older list that identifies affected cards.
- Is the event actually live? The cited official schedules are from 2023 and 2024. They cannot confirm availability in October 2026.
These are practical selection criteria based on the barrel mechanic and the named archetypes, not tested performance claims. The available sources do not establish a head-to-head winner.
