- Look for an event matching the time of the cnbjop7q.dll error.

Fix 3: Check the print spooler and stale Canon software
A removed printer can leave behind a startup reference or print-monitor component.
- Press Windows + R.
- Type
services.mscand press Enter. - Find Print Spooler.
- Right-click it and choose Restart.
- Restart Windows.
- Return to Printers & scanners and remove obsolete Canon entries.

- Open Start and type Command Prompt.

- Run:

- Then run:
sfc /scannow

If the Canon installer cannot find the printer
For USB printers:
- Disconnect the USB cable.
- Restart Windows.
- Start the Canon installer as administrator.
- Connect the cable only when prompted.
- Try a different USB port if detection fails.
- Avoid an unpowered USB hub during setup.
For network printers:
- Confirm the printer is powered on.
- Make sure the computer and printer are on the same network.

When malware or disk problems are more likely
Investigate further if:
- The file keeps disappearing after a clean Canon installation.
- Defender repeatedly reports the file.
- The file is located outside a Canon driver directory.
- Other unrelated files are becoming corrupted.
- Windows reports disk errors.
- The error began after installing unsafe software.
