That is the studio’s position—not an answer to how reviewers received the game, or independent proof of its commercial success.
What did TeamKill Media say about the reviews?
Gfinity reported on January 11, 2026, that TeamKill Media’s response included the phrase “not for critics.” The outlet characterized the studio’s broader message as prioritizing fans and customers over critics. The original social post was not directly verified, so the longer framing should be treated as Gfinity’s report rather than a checked, verbatim statement from the studio. Gfinity’s report
How have critics and players rated Code Violet?
Code Violet is a TeamKill Media game released for PlayStation 5 on January 10, 2026, according to Metacritic. On the Metacritic page snapshot accessed October 8, 2026, it had a 29 Metascore based on 15 critic reviews and a 2.6 user score based on 317 ratings. What are reviewers criticizing, and are there positive reactions?
The critic reviews collected on Metacritic describe a range of reactions. Negative reviews point to technical problems and bugs, criticize combat and exploration, and fault the story or presentation. One more favorable review calls the game campy and playable; that illustrates variation among individual reviews, not a representative consensus. Metacritic’s critic-review page

No. Gfinity and Tech4Gamers report the studio’s characterization of the game as a success, but the sources cited here do not establish an independently verified sales total or current chart ranking. Review scores and player ratings cannot verify sales, and a reported chart position alone does not establish how many copies sold.
