To complete Combat Training II in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, return to Master Tomcat at the Nomads’ Camp in Trosky after completing Combat Training I. Beat him in a duel to unlock the lesson, follow his guided practice, then land three successful counters during free practice.
Where to find Tomcat and start Combat Training II
Combat Training II continues the lessons from Combat Training I. Go to the Nomads’ Camp in Trosky and speak with Master Tomcat to continue the training. The quest is a continuation of Henry’s lessons with Tomcat; the available quest guides do not establish Bara as its formal quest giver.
How to unlock the Masterstrike lesson
Tomcat requires Henry to defeat him in a duel before the second training session begins. Gamer Guides describes this as a duel using real weapons and armor, rather than a harmless practice bout. If you are struggling, Neoseeker and Gamer Guides recommend returning with better equipment or more combat experience. These are preparation suggestions, not a guaranteed winning setup.
Before the duel
- Improve Henry’s combat skills if you have been having trouble with opponents.
- Consider using stronger arms and armor before challenging Tomcat again.
- Do not rely on a particular weapon or armor combination as a guaranteed solution; the guides do not establish one.
How to complete Tomcat’s Masterstrike training
After the duel, Tomcat demonstrates the Masterstrike and guides Henry through practice attacks and counters. Follow the directed tutorial first. When the exercise changes to free practice, the objective is to counter Tomcat’s attacks successfully three times.
#1 Best Overall
- Watch Tomcat’s weapon position. Use his stance to read the direction of the incoming attack.
- Set Henry’s weapon opposite his. Match the counter position to the side opposite Tomcat’s weapon.
- Time the counter as he attacks. A successful Masterstrike depends on reading the position and timing the response, not simply attacking repeatedly.
- Repeat until you land three successful counters. The quest database and Gamer Guides both list three counters as the free-practice objective.
Once the three counters register, the training objective is complete.

Neoseeker advises improving equipment and combat experience, while Gamer Guides similarly suggests returning after building Henry’s skills or obtaining better weapons and armor. Treat those as general recommendations: neither guide identifies a single tactic or loadout that will reliably win the duel for every player.
